Hey! Well, here i am in Kansas, and the nice folks at the Spokes Folks bike shop are letting me use their computer. Thanks all of you who have been writing to me, both through this guest book and by snail mail. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to arrive in a strange town and go to a strange post office--and get a letter from Jessica or Erica or Selina or any one of you lovely people who I think about so often! Your support means more to me than I can possibly say, and it's making it possible for me to pedal over these many mountains in my path... I'm having an incredible time. I am meeting so many people, seeing so many things, and rescuing a lot of turtles from the middle of the street. So many emotions, too, because one minute I'll be depressed and lonely and then the next minute I'll be on top of the world. . .
Anyway, I just wanted to take this chance to thank you all , and I can't wait to see you at camp...I'll be pedalling across Kansas now, this flat flat flat place, and I'll be thinking about you! (There's plenty of time to think when you're not concentrating on making it up a mountain:))
