Add On Stories

There might already be a page like this in the vast world of wiki... but in the case that there isn't, I'm starting one! This is kinda like the awesome, incredible, rad poetry marathon...but slightly different.

Here's how it works: I'm going to start a story, and stop after a few lines or a few pages (depends on whether I get a flash of inspiration!), and the next person continues writing the story, until they want to stop, and so on and so forth. I've done this with friends before, and it's really fun, because everyone has their own writing style. So.... have fun! ~Jadzia

  • Hi there, i had an idea, if you start the next part of the story, put (**) before you start writing, that way everyone knows that's where that part started.

Kilara was shocked. She had been coming to the cave for years, and in all that time, nothing had EVER happened like this before. Sitting in front of her was something thought to have been gone for over a century. It was ironic really, since her great, great, grandmother was known for defeating the very last one. It was said to have been a terrific battle, known to all far and wide as "The last one". So.. seeing it here, sitting in fron of her as though the world was in it's palm, was rather shocking to say the least. It, was commonly called a dragon. **She carefully picked her way around the dragon, so as not to wake it, sat on her stone and just sat and thought. She knew that the dragon wouldn't harm her unless she threatened it, or woke it, or startled it. Needless to say, she was very careful about her usual talking out loud to herself. She was wondering if anyone else knew there was one left. Personally she had always imagined meeting a dragon and becoming friends with it. But she knew that if they knew there was one (possibly more?) alive, they would start the hunt again. And if that happened, she would be expected to lead the hunt, seeing as she was the granddaughter of Lennia The Great. And the seeing mage, had told Lennia at Kilaras birth, that "Your granddaughter who was born on this morn, will do many great deeds, become well known and well liked by many all over our great kingdom of Vellieum!" But Kilara wasn't the kind of girl who led something just because she was someones granddaughter, she would only do something if she truly believed in it. As she was contemplating what might happen to her and the dragon, it awoke with a HUGE screeching and puffing of smoke, Kilara screamed and sat, frozen in her place. Unable to move, for fear of scaring the creature even more, she sat and awaited the dragons next move. ** It must not have heard her scream, for it flew off in a great flapping of wings and puffing of smoke. When Kilara stopped coughing it was gone. She hadn't even seen which direction it had gone. "I hope it's not a carnivore!" she said out loud. "It probably isn't though. If it's lasted as long as it has it must know how to stay away from people." Kilara hoped so. "I wonder if it will come back."

The lovely kim was my initial inspiration for this one...add on folks, you know you want to!

Aieeee, quit that! Excaimed Morgan as Raina began talking in prose again. “Where hath thy been my dear?" Continued Raina. “ENOUGH ALREADY! Morgan was really getting quite frustrated at Raina, even if she was a princess. Raina threw a pillow at Morgan, and before long feathers were flying, and both girls were laughing hysterically. Raina was exactly the type of girl you’d picture a princess to be. She had shiny brown hair that almost fell to her waist, and emerald green eyes, that glittered with impish delight. When you first set eyes on her, there was an aura of regalness about her, complete confidence of who she was, and what she wanted. Morgan, on the other hand was a striking blond, with twinkling blue eyes, and the sort of smile that just made you feel as if you were the only one in the room when she looked at you. They had only met three months prior, although it felt as if they’d known each other forever. They had met by post actually. Raina’s father, King So're of the Kingdom of Twill, had happened to meet Morgans father, Duke of Lorcroft, during his last trip to the southern realm....
