| Embarass Yourself |
Well i was just talking to nick and i started rambling about how embarassing myself is one of the sole really fun activities i parttake of anymore. that are truely enjoyable anyway. and how often i do it. i realize a lot of people don't like embarassing themselves (goddess knows why) but i do. and how whenever i do something embarassing it lessens how embarassing it is next time. so the fun is ruined after a few times. so then i have to get more drastic and embarass myself and most likely others as well because i've gone through the list of things that only i find embarassing. seriously, ask me almost any personal (even sexual) question and i might blush for a second and then i'll offer the answer right up. i don't care anymore. sure there's a couple things, but nobody ever asks those questions. *wink* anyway, so. yeah. feel free to add embarassment or more on this topic or whatever you care to add. but what would be most fun is if we just tried our hardest to embarass ourselves (and eachother; but read the rules first) on this page.

- don't write about an experience another person has. or anything that will get another person really pissed at you. it's just not a good idea. but especially don't go on telling about other people's embarassing experiences. bad form.
- try to not get too (expecially sexually) graphic just because there's several of us who probably dont want to read about um. that. ;) if you feel you really must, then make a link to a seperate page with your experience and put a little disclaimer at the top of the page. por favor.
- other than that, go for it.

ok, i've gotten to the point where i really like embarrassing myself. i had this really cool drama teacher who made sure we all embarrassed ourselfs every class. it's such a good thing to do. now, i meet people who refuse to do things that might be embarrassing, and i can't believe it. life is so damn fun when you can laugh at yourself!! sheesh, people who say there's nothing to laugh about, do something funny! laugh at yourself!
being embarrassed is especially good in the theater business. i've realized that when you keep thinking 'oh my god this dance is so stupid, i can't believe i'm up on a stage doing this' then it looks really stupid. but if you think 'this is really stupid, but i'm gonna do it with gusto and energy and enjoy being embarrassed' then it looks really cool, the audience goes crazy clapping, and it's just great.
of course, embarrassing yourself and being embarrassing are two different things.

Making a fool of yourself and getting semi-embarassed is all in a days work in theatre. Except when you're in the audience and really have to shut the hell up! This happened to me when I watching a production of "Annie get your Gun", A very lame production I might add, on top of being a totally hopeless musical... anyway, i was sitting with a friend on one side and a complete stranger on the other. sometime int he middle of act one, my friend started making really odd gestures with his fingers stretched out (hard to explain without showing you in person) and i kept on looking over at him. We had already shed far too much laughter that day with the samme stupid little gesture, but for some reason, it got progressivly funnier as the play started sucking more and more. So laughter started building in my tummy, then to my head then spilling out my belly button, andfinally before i exploded, I let out a series of fairly major snorts... this of course made my friend almost split a gut. So we were both doubled over in our seats. The gal on the other side of me decided to share her feelings and asked me under her breath to kindly "Shut the fuck up." At this I felt really bad, ruining the show for someone else is not too cool i suppose. But wait! The Show really Sucked anyway!!! I continued having little snorting fits until this other ladie standing at the back of the theatre poked my shoulder several times and told me to "shut up!" i eventually gave in and left the theatre... somehow it wasn't nearly as funny outside... Long winded Adrian
let's see..... there was the time I went swiming in a white swim-suit (if you don't see the problems with this, try it and see what happens)
then there was the time I was telling everyone how creepy my friends dad was...... right in front of my friends dad, or the time a bunch of people were throwing me in the air at a public park, but didn't give me enough time to tuck my shirt in. I really could go on for a very long time, but I don't think I reeeally want to tell you everything
