Franny Is Rad

Franny is like this waterfall of utterly rad and wonderful words and ideas and poetry and beauty. I love love love talking to her and after a good conversation with Franny, it's hard not to feel inspired to go run out and work on a zine or find my sketchbook or go write. She's amazing! -eira

Franny rocks! I love her poetry,her stories, her e-mails.... I read something that she's written on wiki, and it completely amazes me, Franny you are AmAzIng! She is very high on my list of people I want to meet, and her idea to do a month long play at her house is absolutely splendid! Franny has this great look where she looks totally baffled and/or shocked for just the briefest moment, and then her whole face spreads into this happy expression of perfect comprehension. It just looks exactly like she is seeing the world as it really is and reacting to the inherent absurdity of it all. I love being reminded of that. Franny also sings really well, and plays guitar far better than I did when I'd been playing twice as long as she has. To watch her play any game involving visual math type skills is an excercise in amazement for this poor slow-thinking dullard. Franny, thank you for reminding me to live mindfully. Peace, Chris B.

Franny is absolutely amazing, I like her so much! The first time I actually met her in person was at this homeschooling get-together in Menomonie WI, and I had no idea ahead of time that she was going to be there. So when Ryland introduced us, I just said "hi", and then started talking to some other people. After a minute, Ryland said to me "Becky, you do know that that's the Franny from camp, don't you?" and I was like "WHAT??? Really?!" So then I went back and reintroduced myself properly ;) Franny is such a beautiful, powerful, intelligent, talented, meaningful, sweet, fun person. I just loved talking to her at my party, I wish I could have gotten to talk with her more. Her writing absolutely amazes me, and whenever I read it, I'm in awe. ~Becky~

Oh my god, I had such a candyass post on here. Franny is one of the best friends I've ever had. She's a right ray of sunshine and light and clovers. I love spending time with her, reading her writing and talking to her. She's just the sweetest person you could ever hope to meet and I love her so much she could never even begin to see. I'd walk through fire for her.

 I shall write more. Franny is a cathedral of windows, with each one   
opening here and there to reveal something I've never known about  her, and
she's someone that sends me one sentence
 and changes my entire week. 
 We will discover sunsets all over again  together, and I'll find the rain 
to be lighter when she's with me...
 I could talk with her for days, or we could walk silently and it
 would mean just as much. I feel I have received a gift to know her,     and
wonder what I did to deserve it? She is a sunflower growing by     the side
of a dusty road....I love her to the end of the earth.

Franny is... wow. She's so incredible. She's got an incredible voice, a great sense of humor, she's very creative (go back to Becky's, turn the bus around!), and really nice to talk to. She and Ali and I spent probably an hour (if not more) sitting outside at Becky's by the swing one night just talking about... stuff. *laughs, remembering just what was being discussed* Franny is truly incredible.

• Franny is so much more than what I posted earlier. She is late night conversations about whales on TV. She is blowing on "frozen" locked doors. She is sitting outside on a rail sled at 1:30 in the morning, singing a song and telling stories. She is taking showers early in the morning and running back to cabins half naked. She is angelic poetry from the sky. She is guitars gently playing in the background while two girls laugh. She is dogs being pushed out of a room at 3 AM. She is pianos and tea and chocolate cookies and sledding and beauty and light and vibrancy. She is my gorgeous amazing Franny and I'm glad she's a part of my life

I was having a bit of a problem with someone on the way home on the train(I counted it up and I ended up being on some form of transportation or on a layover for almost 60 hours) Anyway, nobody else noticed except her and even though I didn't do a very good job of keeping in touch with her during the week, she was a great help to me on the way home. When I think of her, one of the first images that comes to my mind is trees. When we came home from the ocean trip on the bus, as we sat together talking, her face was framed by the strong, shining trees passing in the window behind her. The sun was lighting up the entire bus, and wind was streaming in through the windows around us. Somehow, Franny holds something of the trees themselves in her- strong and shining energy. Ever since riding home on the bus, I 've felt like I've known her for years! The funny thing is, I can easily picture us still together as friends, years and years from now. I love Franny. Landis

Franny is great! She's real nice, and fun to be with. She's one of the people at camp that I wanted to spend much much more time with. And I mean much.

speaking from oh, about five years of observation, Franny is a very mature young woman. She's totally awsome with young children, Writes awsome plays, is brave, can give a report even when she left her display at home, and really cares about other people. And her dad makes the best damn bread in Western Wisconsin.- Lorin

Franny writes awesome letters and is a great gal. it's fun to watch her try to get better by sticking her tongue out (along with a bunch of other silly girls ; ), and i really hope she'll come next year! love ya ~Eve~

franny is without a doubt one of the most amazing people i know. she is so completely comfortable to be around, it's like being around someone i've known for years. every time i noticed her standing next to me i just broke out in a huge grin. she's gorgeous, smart, an awesome cute dancer, & is just someone i'm really, really, really glad i met because she's too slinkster to miss. i'm soo glad she came to becky's party. <mwah> i love you deary! kat

• Franny still=yayness. She's sweet and pretty and i love to hug her. She's good for late night conversations and listening to her breath while she's asleep in my cabin. She has an aura of love, a quiet soul and she reminds me of a still pool of water that has treasures underneath...

I really want to meet Franny (meet her, uh, again!) because some of the things/ways she thinks are so similar to me..but obviously she is a completely different person and brings her own unique perspective, too. I love to read her writing. Her poems are just gorgeous. So yeah, I really hope we'll get to see each other before camp next year! Emma
