Girl Walking Backwards

do you ever feel numb and hurting at the same time? like you're walking backwards in the middle of the street... like you dont know what to say, but you find yourself saying it anyway. because there you are, a girl walking backwards. or i am anyway. and i find myself sitting here, stupidly crying at things that shouldnt really matter. that dont really matter in the grand scheme of things. but they hurt anyway.

i'm sitting here with a distance of thousands of miles encompassing the space between you and me. and only a stupid computer screen, and a shitload of graphics to tell me that you're there, and i have to know inside of me anything that i need to know. that you love me. that you miss me. because the words on that screen really dont matter.
