I first saw Lily on the bus on our way back to camp. She was sitting with Emma, displaying some of her drawings, and I remember being totally blown away by the artwork. It's so dramatic. . . . each drawing is almost like a story. Later, after I talked with her a bit, I realized that she was very sweet, mild-mannered yet interesting, and I really enjoyed talking with her and seeing her personality unfold. Amy

I love Lily's seeming contradictions. I wish she'd own them more. I also love how she hates when people swear. I'm trying to cut down on swearing myself. (But it's pretty f***ing hard.) Jessica (wb)

I loved seeing Lily blossom over the two weeks of camp. She is a beautiful, sweet, and utterly strong and couragous person. She's a wonderful artist. I am so glad I know her. -marina

Lily is a totally awesome person that never ceases to amaze me! Her personality has many facets to it. At first I saw her sweet and reserved side. Then [with the previous side still there] I saw her couragousness. Then there was this whole other thing, with her artwork. She has an admirable interest in violence....it's hard to describe. She is a great artist, good at expressing through art. I really can't get over how amazing she is. ~Erin

The first thing I thought when I saw Lily, was how perfect and beautiful she was. As I got to know her, I met all of her contradictions, one by one, and I realized that in one way or another, I could relate to each one, as well. Throughout the week, she was always there for me, asking me how I was doing, and giving me so much support. (more than she knows, I'm sure) I really enjoyed our time together at the beach, just walking and talking. She is such a beautiful person, and I really could go on for hours talking about her. ~Landis~

I knew her voice before I knew her. Her voice is this airy, tiny, faerie kind of sound and she sings like an angel. I love the way she holds herself, the shape of her face, her big eyes. She has this air of angelic innocence, but I think she's really deep and knows what's going on. She seems like one of the more aware people around. -wanderlust

Lily listens, with those big fluttery eyes showing a depth of understanding even when she doesn't say a word. And when she does say something everyone listens because her voice is so pure it shatters air. Her heart always seems like it's breaking and she's heartbreaking to be near because she's so good and sweet and kind and gentle that you can't believe anyone in the world isn't like her. But no one in the world is. Jenny
