| Number Two |
The first poem on this page was inspired by these two lines from Jasmine's poem
>my wrists are turned to lace
>to lovely lattice work
And the news I got at the same time that one of my friends who was anorexic is now also bulimic.
I can see you
The way you've always been
Slender, almost skinny
But not
Beautiful
But I can't see you anymore
You're fading
Melting away
Holes appearing in you
Your arms like lace
You're vanishing in front of my eyes
Your body is dissapearing, dying
The food you need you wont eat
And then you wont keep it
Please, fill up these holes
Firm up your arms
Bring yourself back
Only you can do that
You ask me
Begging, crying
To hold on to you
And never let you go
And I do
I try
But I can't do it all for you
I can love you, but I can't make you eat
I can't
Only you can do that
Recognize this
Know this
Before it's too late
And you're gone
Faded
Dissolved
Dissapeared
Only you can stop this
Only you
Please
This time I'm begging you
Please
~~~~~~~Kristina
