 i say to
 never delete
 what you write. but i've
 deleted this three times
 not content
 with what i can give you
 you
 are a thousand words
 making a thousand worthy pictures
 in my mind.
 remembering
 bouncing, cheerful, like
 i've known you
 from the first time i saw your poems.
 
 i don't know how
 you do it
 become such a presence
 in a life
 so far away.

 my words wait
 for you
 so they can feed
 on brilliance.
