Daniel Hurwitz is...

One sexy, smarmy guy! He just radiates charm! And while he makes a great slutty buddy, and can be completely immature and perverted (hey, that's not a BAD thing!) he can also be really serious. He can be really sweet, and insightful, and easy to talk to. *kiss*Candra

A fabulous guy. He has entertained me thoroughly everytime I've been around him since we fought over who would have the most people in our tent. He has been a light, fun influence over my camp days for the most part, but I've glimpsed a really loyal caring supportive side as well. The night before the last night of second session this year, there was a lot going on and I was really crying and shaking for the first time since arriving in Oregon... Daniel just sat with his arm around me and we talked, oblivious to the happy people passing. He really made me feel better. Everyone has mentioned that he's cute and fun, but I think he's a really really wonderful friend as well. (~summer)

Daniel is really cute, and very popular, but what I like about him is that he really cares about what other people think and feel, no matter who they are. I met him about two years ago at an unschooler's weekend. I remember at the next one after that, I was very reserved and sitting alone most of the time. He'd come up and sit beside me, and start talking to me or ask me what I was thinking. I didn't see him again until second session this year, and there he gave me good comforting hugs at the power shuffle when I really needed them. I think he's really caring, and I'd like to become friends with him because he seems like a really great person. -wanderlust

My first interaction with Daniel whatsoever was when I was talking to Samantha. I was trying to decide whether or not to wear the dress that I did end up wearing to the prom, since she was my date. I asked her what she thought, she said yes, I said...."I still don't know" and so she pulled Daniel over and asked him which I'm sure made me go as red as my dress since I had watched him from a far for some time. He said "definately. Definately." And so I definately wore it. I danced with him some, completele with holding onto his leash . . . enjoyed myself too. And I got to talk to him some more later that week and he is a really sweet guy. I would love to keep in touch with him and I hope that he remains in contact with me too. Miss you Daniel! ~Jasmine~

Daniel is.. well, Daniel's Daniel. he's sweet, and weird, and crazy, and fun, and good to talk too. I've known him for years. and although I wasn't friends with him for the entire time I knew him. but in the past year or so, I've been getting to know him better. whenever I'm bored or depressed or whatever, he can cheer me up. he has this way about him, it just makes you want to hug him and talk to him about anything. he's a one of a kind cool guy. Daniel gave me window in to something that encompasses the whole reason I go to camp - a new perspective. Daniel is an exercise in will power, one most always wants to either strangle or kiss him. We had mutable eye opening conversations at camp this year and I truly have to thank him for everything he’s taught me, like not only excepting, but really celebrating our differences. I love how he has opinions on everything, but is not so stead fast on them that he gets defensive to talk about it, anything, everything! I truly love the way he’ll talk about anything and not just to amuse you, he really seems to love good conversation and getting ideas fed back to him from other vantage points. His sense of humor is something else and I kind of have to smile, grown, laugh my butt off if I can actually loosen up enough to admit he’s hysterical and can make anything fun.
