Random Play

I discovered this evening that mixing Lou Bega, Ani Difranco, Bjork, Eileen Ivers and some chants makes a damn good mix. It's all about context.

I dig Bjork. What a voice... but the music gets draining to listen to in all but the strangest of moods.

I can't take two mambos in a row. Thanks, Lou, but... yeah.

Eileen Ivers just rocks. If I'm happy, I'd be good with her on loop... but after a while, I forget to listen.

Balance them together. Bjork makes the most killer interlude in the middle of high-energy music. Here's what I got:

Bjork -- Debut; Lou Bega -- A Little Bit of Mambo; EarthBeat's "Circle of Women" chant CD; Eileen Ivers -- Wild Blue; Peter Gabriel -- So.

Dude, I dig random at times. It's the next best thing to hand-crafted.
