*Jenny Smith a.k.a. Shippy:
To any that are so inclinded and interested the Beautiful Talented Shippy is dipped, dunked, and called Kosher, becoming a card carrying Orthadox Jew Monday Feb 25th and 9Pm Israel time.
yay yay yay!
i love Shippy so much. i'm going to miss her enormously while she's in Israel. i'd miss her even if she wasn't in Israel, but i won't get to see her for a really long time. She's like my honerarly mom. she'd come up to me and say "have you eaten today?" and then haul me off to the kitchen to eat. she's so sure of what she believes in and she knows what she wants, and how to get it. i really admire that. she cares about things too. really cares about them. i miss you and i love you Shippy. good luck. thank you for making me eat~erynne
Shiphrah is a most amazing human being. She's persistent, brave, and patient with all amounts of teasing and heckling. I've seen her change deeply, on every level, in the past two and a half years, but miraculously enough, she's never stopped being her gracious, caring, loving self. She's mothering without being smothering, and (nearly) Orthodox without being intimidating. I feel like I could talk to her for days on end, and I trust her absolutely. I'll worry about her all through her time in Israel, and I know she'll be a fabulous Nice Jewish Girl.
Shippy. I love everything about her. She is so caring, helpful, empathetic, passionate, opinionated, loving. If I could chose my mother, shippy would definitely be it, she constantly mothered everyone at the new year's party, making sure they had enough to eat and knowing how they were feeling. She can tell other people to stop working and take a rest, or tell them that they can't work at all and is so caring about others. Every word she says has meaning, even if she does say a lot of them!
I love you shippy and peace wherever you go,
~mike

Shippy is one of the most honest, caring, loving people I have ever met. She always seems willing to help, and offer some advice, and she's an exellent cook! ---Neal
Shippy loves tea, so she is my kindred spirit! She is like the big sister I never had. She is beautiful and inspiring and kind, but despite all her goodness and kindness she never gets stepped on by other people. She knows who she is and where she stands, and that is truely amazing. I admire her defined set of morals, her ability to wear long skirts and shirts that cover her elbows in hot weather, the way she's organized and gets things done. We've gone on long walks and cried and baked and hugged and listened to music and danced. She is a beautiful person in every kind of way, and one of my dearest friends. -wanderlust
is indescribable, but I'm gonna try anyway. She is goodness and order personified, beautiful inside and out. Shippy made me feel happy and at home at the hostel, asking me if I'm sure I didn't want dinner, or cookies, or icecream...: ). At camp she always included me by asking, no telling, me to come sit with her and everyone else no matter how much I wanted to be the sullen, loner chick. thank you so much Mother Shippy. - Kim W. oh, and love her clothes (especially that blue skirt) and the leaves in her hair. Titania indeed.
Shippy is incredible... she's so caring and wonderful... she's always there for everyone (how *does* she do it??), and it's just incredible. She's gorgeous (that hair!!), and she's smart, and she's just such an incredible, unique, wonderful wonderful wonderful person that she is beyond words... words truly cannot describe how amazing Shippy is. Wow. -JessicaSkater
shippy means so much to me after camp this year. she gave me amazing amounts of strength when i thought i didn't have any left. she always seemed to be assigned as a partner of mine for those great truth games and exercises, and i couldn't have asked for a better partner. and she's very very good at teasing you about people you're into... heehee :) -courtney
Beauuutiful, huggy, understanding, maternal in a fabulous way, caring, grounded, opinionated, and intelligent. I wish I hung out with her more, knew her better. I'm always breathtaken with her in pictures. And I have to give her props for being one half of one of the cutest camp/camp-related relationships I can think of. :-) Awww! (~summer)
my TWIN!!! yay!!!!!! :)
Yay for Shippy. She's my comforter and champion, or was when I needed one. ;) She's got the greatest laugh that makes you laugh, too, and she throws good snowballs. Erm. I could say much, much more, but I'll leave it at this. I love her. - Robyn
I really wish that Shippy would come and visit me again! She is always making tea and offering it to bystanders. Good stuff. Oh, and Shippy, if you read this, Jazz likes you too, 'cause he is delibrately trying to bother you and that means he likes you. (grins)

Shippy is Jenny, a beautiful, loving person... who has cried over the deaths of orphaned goats, read Shakespeare with friends, spent hours of her childhood building forts on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, and much, much more. She is wonderful, and caring.
You are like a sea. Charlie
I think Shippy (also known as Mother Kanga) has taken Piglet (that's me!) as her own special charge. She's there when I need a mother figure, a shoulder to cry on, hot tea with sugar, food, or hugs, or all of the above. ("Hug her, feed her, give her tea!") And she is singlehandedly responsible for my attitude problem! - Naela
Shippy is like a tall blonde teddy bear, she doesn't mind being different in "uncool" ways, is a fount of information and interests and isn't shy about being enthusiastic about them, and she has excellent taste in boyfriends! ~the other Jenny
Shippy expresses her opinions, and I can see quite a future coming for her. I don't agree with her on a great many things, but she has a convincing way of explaining her case. I have respect for that. - Liam
shippy has a great laugh, a wonderful smell, very comforting hugs, lovely taste in skirts and clothes in general, sweet, opinionated, and an all-over good good friend. xoxo, *k*a*t*e*
Shippy is a goddess! she has one of the coolest senses of humor I know. She drinks Tea. She is mischeivous and mothering and strong. I admire her ability to maintain her own opinions among gatherings that have way different viewpoints. She is majestic. She is quite friendly. She and Dawn swooped down on me when I first arrived at Lost Valley last year, releived me of my bags, and cheerfully escorted me to my cabin, where they plopped down my baggage for me. She looks great in hippy dresses with long draping sleeves. So, summary: Shippy rocks.

Ah, me. . . . I met Shippy for the first time at camp this year, and was very impressed. She's beautiful and has a calm, strong sense of assurance that surrounds her wherever she goes. She wears ivy leaves in her longlonglong lovely blond hair, which in my mind is just the absolute epitomy of coolness, and seemed to spend a great deal of time checking up on all us sick people at camp, bringing tea and hugs and leaving a sense of comfort in her wake. *grins* From what I've seen, Shippy has this ability to hold fast to her own views and beliefs without actually making anyone else feel bad about theirs, and I think that's truly incredible. So yeah, to mimic Rosie: Shippy rocks! -Amy
all hail her shippiness! shippy was one of the first campers to talk to me at camp just a chill, friendly presence introducing herself. i loved not having to be the one to reach out, among all these strangers. kudos to shippy for having that confidence. and i always felt taken in by shippy, included, drawn under her wing. and, contrary to her worries, she is a true jew. it's about faith. some would disagree with me, but i agree with me! it's about faith. shippy lives her faith, in her kindness. thank you, shipster. jessica (witch baby)
Shippy. I love you more then getting off the Amtrak from the west coast party on the first day of camp in the summer when you feel warm and full of love and everyone is crying and hugging and screaming and life is just starting. I love you more then that. I love you more then my window in the rain and more then healing circles and more then icecream and puddlehunting. thats how much i love you.-Dawn
Shippy is so cool, and she makes makes wonderful Challah. She would make a fine jew. -Daniel
- she is a fine jew, if she wants to be.
