When I was 12, my really good friend Emily Lingen died. She was 20 years old. At her service, they told this wonderful story about Emily.

When Emily was four years old, her grandfather died. Death is a very hard thing to explain to a four year old, so they told her that grandpa was gone, and that he had turned into a dragonfly. After that, every time that she would see a dragonfly, she'd say, "look... there's grandpa". That happened until she died.

They said that that was the reason there were dragonflies all over the memorial booklet. Since then, dragonflies have been very special to me, and I always have something with a dragonfly on it on me or with me... a necklace, sticker, earring, anklet, ring, bracelet, anything. -JessicaSkater
