Storrys About Katelet

ok so like Kat was like constantly telling me about this guy Adam, who was like "this really great guy" and gush gush to adnsueum. so I met him at camp back in 99 and thought yea, ok he's a pretty cool guy, good guitar player, very flirty, but I'm not going hang around him to much here, cus after all, Kat's like always talking him up the wall and obviously has like the biggest crush in the history of crushes on him. and then I like don't mention it to her that he's being so flirty, cus I know she wasn't (past tense) in to the whole free love thing like me, and damn they look so cute together. So before he goes he asks if he can kiss me goodbye, and I'm like, oh hun! I can't! cus my best friends got like the Biggest crush on you!! and adam stands around a little shell shocked going.. really??! wow..I had no idea... so I go home to Kat's house and she wants to know "so.. what WAS up with you and Adam??" and I'm all ... well nothing because I know you have such a big crush on him. and she just bout' flew off the wall going you thought what??!!? ... "oh my god ....you didn't tell Adam that did you?!?!?".. uh ..well uh.... "oh my goddd Lotus!!!" "well you're like always talking abotu him all the time!!" "well yea! that's because I thought you two would get along really well I was trying to get you to like him!" so then we have to go explain the whole thing to Adam.... so fun... you'd think we'd learn to comunicate better eh? --Lotus

 pretty girl
my head laying in your lap
soft faerie fingers dancing through my hair
 so happy so safe
watching everyone go about their business
and knowing i'm exactly where i should be.

i remember taking this like endless bus trip to theory and kate started quoting rumi while wearing this matrix outfit and i was totally floored even though the other people on the bus didn't seem to notice. jenny

I remember Kate being there for me throughout Theory. I remember at the end of a long day when we'd spent almost 12 hours on buses and trains falling asleep on a bus on the way to Port Townsend on Kate's shoulder, and how comfortable it was. I remember staying up with her until 6 am the last time she was at my house, taping eachother's CDs and drawing comix all night long. I remember walking in Eugene with her right before Theory & this guy passed us and said, "my, two lovely Eugene ladies" or something like that, and we looked at eachother and burst out laughing uncontrollably. I remember buying an old magazine from the '60's called "True Story: a woman's guide to love & marriage" & reading it together on her friend's couch & snarfing at it. I remember bouncing a rubber ball back and forth & back and forth in my driveway. then we tried it at night in my room and woke my parents up. oops. running wild around the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco climbing on the walls and picking flowers and experimenting with echos. ~Rosie

I sat next to Kate on the bus up to Vancouver toward the end of December. It was so much fun. We thwapped each other with our ticket envelopes and made some comments about the scenery. The ride felt shorter than it was with her there. And then, in the earliest hours of New Year's Day, we took a walk with Jenla, Charlie, and Nick, and that was even more fun. --Mitchell

At Becky's party one day... we just randomly started throwing two of Ted's juggling balls back and forth. Just back and forth, back and forth... not really even saying anything, just throwing them all rhythmically and grinning. And it was awesome. I don't think I've ever had so much fun doing what seemed like so little. --marina
