Storrys About Ted

On the way home from second session '99 Ted and Caitlin and me and a bunch of other people were at the airport, and Caitlin had a Seventeen magazine with a quiz called 'Is he the perfect guy?' or something like that. Caitlin started reading the questions out loud to Ted so he could find out if he were the perfect guy or not, and he kept arguing and saying things like "No real guy would do something like that, I would do this or this or this" and just having a philosophical disscussion about the quiz. It was so funny. And yes, I believe he did turn out to be a perfect guy. ;) -marina

I remember being in Eugene after second session '00 and showing Ted the shiny dark red tank top I bought at Buffalo Exchange. We started talking about it and I suggested he put it on. So he disappeared and in a short amount of time I heard an, "Emma? How do you get these things on?" It wouldn't fit over his shoulders. Dammit. :) - Emma

Watching him swear at the waves on the ocean trip was pretty funny. 'stop! stop! oh, fuck you!' Yeah -JessicaSkater

On my last full day in Oregon I hung out at the motel where a lot of campers were staying between sessions. Ted went out to the parking lot and started juggling and these two little boys were watching him like it was the Greatest Show On Earth. *grin* They were from another country and didn't seem to know any English except "Thank you" (which they told Ted after his performance.) They followed him around for quite some time afterwards. It was so cute.

On that same day, I remember laughing at him for what seemed like no apparent reason and Ted got this hilariously perplexed look on his face and kept asking "What?" "Why are you laughing at me?" and I couldn't stop. (For the record, I was laughing because it struck me as insanely amusing that here I was, thousands of miles from home at a motel with a bunch of cool, crazy people, and here was this guy who once had brown hair which was now blond and blue, playing the guitar with juggle balls strewn all around like Canada's own gleeman.) ; )

One more storry. On the ocean trip at first session Ted went up and down the beach writing stuff like "Canada Rules" and "America Sucks" in the sand (which the waves quickly did away with.) Also, somehow he wound up with his feet buried in the sand and some people (I don't remember exactly who) made large foot-shaped outlines and placed shells where his toes would have been. It looked like he had giant, monster feet. I have a picture of this, and if I ever figure out how to put it on a page then I will. : ) ~ KimW

hmmm which story to tell. geez for only knowing ted for like, 2 days i sure have a bunch of them. Well we were in santa barbara, walking down to state street, and ted was going to show me how to use his diablo (chinese yoyo) so we stopped on a corner and he started messing with it. a bunch of kids and their parents started watching, and they were oohing and ahhing and it was so cute. then ted pulls this floppy hat out of his pocket, throws it down in front of them and these little kids go scurrying back up to the house, and come back with a few coins. i'm sure it was their whole life savings or something, and place them carefully in the hat. it was so cute. and ted was totally eating it up. ;) --royaboya
