The Trend

Okey everyone! The trend was this awsome thing at camp this year, you say if you had crushes on people, so I just made a wiki wiki page for it. It feels very good when you know people have crushed on you so if you have a crush on some one, post who he/she/they are!!

(The Apology)

hey y'all... i want to apologize for the disasterous manner of the announcement of "the trend" at second session... it was not at all intended to go that way, very spur-of-the-moment and not cool + felt very guilty and crappy about it for a long time. because, in case you didn't figure it out for yourself:

a) it should be a personal thing initially. like, the person should have time to react, like, say "thank you" or "ditto" or "fuck you", as the case may (unlikely as it is) be.

b) since there were so many of us, (it started out with two and just grew + grew), and since the four of us that were up there seem to have pretty similar tastes, a lot of people were mentioned repeatedly (i think jonah was the only one that got 4 for 4 though ;), and some people didn't get mentioned, and it sucked.

so.... sorry. please don't hate me. one of my sporadic bursts of stupidity and inconsideration. |:p ~~~luvuall, Carsie~~~~

CarsieFirst, it wasn't stupid and secondly, I don't think anybody hates you. I don't for sure. yes, a lot of people didn't get mentioned but it was also done near the beginning of camp when not everybody was friends with everybody yet. And yes, it hurts not being mentioned but it wasn't really your fault Carsie. It's the same thing as not being flirted with later at camp, just more public. So don't worry your sweet head over it, darling. And answer my email! ~Jasmine~

{The Real Trend}

I had a thought: The Trend was not about telling all your friends who you had a crush on, it was about telling the person themselves! So, let's put up a gold star list of people who have actually told their crushes! Put your name here if you've told that certain person (or persons) that you have a crush on them. If you like, add whether you did at camp, through e-mail, etc. Everyone who puts up their name gets a gold star and a cupcake from me! [1] I'll even start...

• Eire did, and also asked a guy out! (outside of camp, and he didn't get it, but still..)
• Jessica told one of the people she had a crush on that she had a crush on them, so she thinks that counts.. now I want my cupcake!! -JessicaSkater
• Marina (at camp... i haven't told everyone i like though...)
• Jasmine (at camp. A few waited 'til e-mail, but mostly at camp)
• Cory (mostly all of them. one or two exceptions. by the end of second session i was very disenfranchised with the whole trend. so i did not tell 1 or two.)
• Jennifer (I had two...told them both during camp)
• Becky J. (I didn't tell ALL the people I had crushes on by any means, but I told some of the ones that were easy for me to approach and who I liked more along the lines of "friends". Now I'm not sure if I have a crush on anybody anyway...)
• I told all the most important ones to their face, with one exception, and listed the others various places. The exception was for a good reason, but hard to explain. (~summer)
• Okay, I THOUGHT I'd told all my crushes.. but then I got home and I realized I actually only told the people I was really attracted to and avoided the people I actually was majorly crushing over, with one exception. Huh. - Zen
• Courtney (I told most of them privately, although I did sort of announce a lot of them at second session..heh.. there are one or two I haven't told yet, though)
• Lotus (I took full advantage of this radically honest trend and told every one I was overly attracted to just that, multiple times even)
• I told the people who I was attracted to at camp so, but I probably left out some people because I couldn't tell if I had told them of just thought about telling them ;) ~Erin
• Brent has already posted all whom he has crushes on, and feels compelled to tell whom all he told. he really only told Roxy that he likes her, but he thinks the other girls know that he has crushes on you. you know who you are. *wink. wink* I love you all.
• Brent found a new crush or two. Brent just found out that one of his most favoritest persons (RUTI!! YEAH) has a little sister that he is the biggest fan of, and he is very ashamed that he did not know this, but who was to tell him, he supposes. He also got to talk with another person whom he is the biggest fan of, and she speaks rockin' ebonics yo. and I forgot her e-mail address. can he get it again please?
• Jennyrose tends to tell almost everyone she has a crush on that she feels as such, sooner or later. yay for jen and courage/stupidity.
• Candra who only told one of hers at camp. She is a wussass.
