Theory Archive One

Theory is still happening. I've done a lot of work on tracking down a way to make it happen regardless of what's happening.

The plan

• A bus will leave from either Corvallis or Eugene
• We'll head out to one of the coastal campgrounds and land in the Hike-in site.
• Food will be provided. Simple, healthy, vegetarian fare, with vegan options if I know about the need ahead of time.
• I'm trying to get ahold of one of those huge tents used by hunting parties.
• We'll spend a week at the coast
• A bus will pick us up, and return us to the city to make connections.

The Money

• The cost will be US$150 . If I spend less making it happen, I'll refund the difference.

I'll need a portion of the money a week or so beforehand, I think, so that I can arrange food and transit. Other than that, just tell me if you plan to come (no commitment), so I can plan things better.

The temporal coordinates (dates)

• September 15^th through the 21^st. Plan to be around by 11 AM on the 15^th so we can get organized and to a campsite in time to eat something other than pre-made junkfood for dinner.

Location

Susan Creek Campground, managed by Roseburg Bureau of Land Management (541) 440-4930. It's 28 miles east of Roseburg, OR, about an hour and a half from Eugene.

I would absofolutely love to make it to this camp (I liked the name Ashes...) but my only problem is getting permission from my mom. Her main thing is that there has to be a Responsible Adult in charge. Basically, someone who could take care of everyone if there was a major disaster or I broke my leg or something. So I guess maybe you could convince her you're Responsible, Rick.... *grins* Or maybe have someone's parent staying withing driving distance?

• Rick is a responsible adult, and I for instance, am now rather knowledgable health professional... (don't mention I'm a massage therapist, mother's have no idea how in depth our training is...) ^zack

Count me in Ari... I cant even think of dates that far in advance, but about 3 days after Session 2 seems like a good time. Enough time for campers to get some sleep and for us noncampers to track down and see a few of campers before they go home if they cant come to Theory... A few catchs

• i dont really have a way of getting money to you ahead of time but ill try
• i wont have a sleeping bag or foamie

seeing that im travling with dawn three days after camp sounds grand i'm so happy theorys on.

my little 2 sents for the name would be to keep it as theory because it is still theory..right? oh well theorys on so all is well
