Whatz Yer Store

what are some of your favorite stores and what kinda clothes do they sell? we're all so stylish, we wanna know where you get those fabulous clothes.

The First Alternative Grodery is my favorite store. And the only kind of clothes they sell are T-shirts. Hah. But what they do sell is awesome. Good food, yo. --Ari

my faverit places to shop are hardwear stores... the really good ones, that sell lots and lots of little shiny nuts and bolts, and tools, parts, and other pretty things, the best one I have seen is in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. not that most of you care, but you DID want to know my faverite store! but sence everone seems to be obsessed with cloths, I'll tell you where I get mine too.. alot of the pants I now have I have gotten at thrift stores, and Good Will, a few pair I have, I got from this awsome Amish clothing catologe, those are really cool because they have buttens acrose the top, insted of havieng a fly, Thrift stores are cool, because they have stuff like silk shirts, for just a few bucks. other then that, I don't wear alot that I have not had for years and years... oh yeah, and Northern Sun, they have some really cool shirts (with the kind of things you would see on bumperstickers), and the guy who owns it is really nice, and will even take ideas for shirts, if you have them. --Ryland

To tell the truth, I hate clothes shopping for the most part and avoid it whenever I can. I prefer to mooch off of friends & family. When I can't do that I look through the thrifts & vintage shops. --Rosemary

J. Silver all the way!

J. Silver Clothing. I've only been to the one that's downtown, but they sell really urban clothes. Cool and sexy clothes. Not only that, but all the stuff I've seen there is made in the United States, so I don't have to worry about buying into the third-world sweatshop child-labor thing.

I also like Salvation Army / Goodwill, and having lots of friends who like give away their clothes ;)

Relegious Sex, baby!

Lingerie and funky clothing Relegious Sex is down in the east village, and though it's way overpriced, I adore it. They sell medieval gowns as well that are gorgeous if I ever went to a prom, I'd spluge the 200 bucks and buy myself one of them. I have a growing collection of awesome underwear and stuff from the store. I treasure it all! ~Maggie

 Frog Kissers Den!

its a place where you can buy hippy skirts and tops and stuff its the coolest thing ever and its all old stuff just with like some patches added or some lace here and there...its so cool

 --Heather
  • Oooohhh I want to go there. Maybe I'll come visit you....~Franny~

Thrift stores. Thrift stores rock. It's harder to find something really good, but when you do it's... good. Yup. --marina

Thrift stores. Deffinatly thrift stores. Like the big Savers or Good Will or just the little ones you find on city streets that are all dark and quite and you're never quite sure what will be in them... ~Franny~

I like the Salvation Army (messy messy though); Goodwill!, because I always find neat things there, like a pair of Doc Martens for $15 the other day; el infamous Discount Mall (we have a few here in my town); 99 cent stores or stores that advertise some other price in their name; Grocery stores are fun (Shoppping CAAARTS!); and Moon Zooom (3 O's!). I tend to shop almost anywhere nowadays, though, if I end up there or have some sort of transportation there. But thrift stores and cheep stores are the best, since it doesn't cost as much. --Mari

  • St. Vinny's!!! We have the best St. Vinny's in Madison on Willy St. If you're ever in town, tell me to take you there. It gets all sorts of funky stuff that the college kids don't want anymore. I almost always find something cool. (Like my little red "Hug me!" t-shirt).
  • Ragstock! Ragstock rules, though their clerks are usually completely stupid, and alot of the stuff is too trendy and expensive. (I'm a cheapskate to the core.) But they've got great wigs, feather wings, (ask Marina about those) pants, shirts, dresses, jewelry, belts, whatever. Bit of a fad store, but majorly cool.
  • Sewing your own stuff!! Personalizing things or making them yourself is the best! Especially if it actually looks good when you're done!

~Becky~
