our reassuring little note about the apparent change of fees

We originally listed the fee for a 10-week session as $3000, and now (June '00) we've changed it to $3105. But not to worry! Nothing's really changed. We just made this change to comply with our credit card company's regulations. If you pay with a check or cash, you get a $105 discount. If you pay with a credit card, you don't get a discount (because we have to pay our credit card company approximately 3.5% as a surcharge). Earlier, we said we'd just add that surcharge to people's bills if they paid with a credit card--but we read the fine print in our agreement with our credit card company and found out that we're not allowed to do that, whereas we ARE allowed to give discounts for other methods of payment. Go figure. 

The "discount" or lack thereof will be handled separately for each of the three payment installments--that is, if you pay your initial deposit with a credit card, it's $1035. If you pay the second deposit with a check, it's $1000, and if you then again pay your final balance with a credit card, it's $1035.
