My thoughts Exactly! Anyone who comes here and doesn't know who Ani Difranco is must be a such a geek! Ha Ha Ha! After all, Ani Difranco and her music are all about being hip, un-dorky, in on the secret, and socially above average. Her music is an accessory to be worn to adorn oneself and distinguish oneself from those people who are ignorant of her. She invokes the spirit of bullying, cliques, the pack ganging up on the minority, and 90210 snottyness. This 5 foot 2 inch Queer, socialist/anarchist, pro-choice, Ralph Nader promoting, proprieter of a truly independent record company has done it all 1 800 on her own by hiding in the dark of her windows till the dorky people had passed and left her alone. I'm gonna turn up my MTV... or should I take fire on it? i can't remember, Strap on my trendyness, and give my life meaning by demeaning those of you who have the audacity to be out of the Ani Loop, and I'll do it in her name no less, since i'm sure uncool people are what cause a world's worth of things she just cannot excuse. Squint your eyes and look closer.

-Evan who after months of anonimity feels obligated to sign his name, particularly since it seems some people haven't sensed the tongue planted firmly in the cheek of this boy who actually admires and aspires in Ani's direction enthusiasticly. That didn't make any sense to anyone but me did it. Oh, well.Old habits die hard.

I know her and I'm a supa geek. So...do I break out of the ani difranco listenting norm. But considering I have only heard one song of hers, thanks to the cojolling of Carrie, I suppose I don't count. But yeah, she is really good. From what I heard. And I hate the word trendy. Grrrrrr. I don't think I'm "Her kind of people" though. Meh
