ok i'm so incredibly confused. amtrak called and changed something to do with my travel coming back. and now i'm not sure if i'll have anybody with me. (its a four hour layover in portland) and i'm also not sure if i can leave camp that early. ok so going to camp i'm on st.paul to portland @11:15pm on september 2. then portland to eugene on an amtrack bus on september 4 @ 11:15am. now LEAVING camp is where i'm confused. originally it was eugene to portland @1:45pm and then the train@4:40pm but according to amtrack the bus from eugene to portland gets in to late to make the train. so they've changed it to leaving eugene at 9:30am and getting to portland @ 12:05pm leaving a 4 hour layover until the train leaves portland @ 4:40pm. ok so does anybody else have this? i'm worried about having people to hang with during those four hours and about even being able to get out of camp that early. stupid me already sent in her travel form. - EmilyOh

I'm 90% sure I'll be taking the train to camp for second session. If i do this will probably be my schedule unless i decide to say for a while after camp. I don't know yet for sure. any way here it is [2]
I just checked on tickets for that, and they are something like, $359 round trip, half price of under 15? (no idea if you need an adult with, to get that price) so it seems they have gone up, alot!
Here are my (FionaIsRad 's) dates... but it looks like I'm going to be the only one on this besides EmilyOh.
Leaving St. Paul 9/2, arriving Eugene 9/4;
Leaving Eugene 9/12, arriving St. Paul 9/14.
- Nope! I'll be on that train. Train #27, right?

- Taking the train from Minneapolis to Portland, I believe. But yes, the train, most definitely.

- taking the train to second session from st. paul with fiona and ali and whoever else is taking it. -EmilyOh
- Are you coming through Grand Junction, CO??? Because if you are perhaps we can tavel together. [1] Heres my -posible plans. let me know if you wanna hock up.
Ruth-
I'm in cincinnati [ohio]... I'd love to get up to the amtrak station in Toledo, and take it to Chicago and then to Portland... does anyone know of people in the Ann Arbor/Detroit/Indianapolis/Cincinnati/Cleveland/Toledo/Columbus areaswho are going to Session Two? We could meet at the Toledo station perhaps. If so I'd love to get in touch with them, my email is eerieEira at yahoo.com... -eira
- Eira! If you take an Amtrak bus from Cinncinatti to Toledo, then transfer onto the train to Chicago. If you catch the Empire Builder #27 that leaves Chicago Sep. 2nd, I'll be on it and I can look for you. the other Eire, who just emailed you
A Request
Could someone (whoever is going to get to Chicago first, I guess) make a big sign that says NBTSC on it, so that Eira and I can find y'all? I believe this was done the year before last, and it worked out very well. Thank you!!

[1] See GettingToCamp, the train section, for Ruth's travel plans, since the Empire Builder doesn't go through Grand Junction CO (although there is, I believe, another train leaving Chicago that does. I'm not sure which one it is
