| Getting To Camp |
How are you getting to camp?
and what are you doing AfterCamp?
Okay, let's get this organized! (and try to keep it that way, so please keep your stuff updated)
[-1] -Train-
/From California/
(add your plans here)
/From the East Coast and Northern States area/
- Ali is going on the empire builder from St. Paul, MN and is rather curious as to who else will be on there with her. join me, we'll make it a party! (woot)
- Mike might be taking the train with you Ali...but he's not sure. If he isn't traveling before camp, he will most certainly be taking the train.
- but, Mikey, you're going to both sessions, I'm only going to #2.
/Train through Colorado/
(add your plans here)
/From the Vancouver-Seattle area/
(add your plans here)
[2] -Automobile-
- Hey! I'm driving and I want peeps to go with me. Check out RuthsTravelingTruck for all the detailish stuff!

[3] -Airplane Food-
Fiona is flying out to camp, most likely, but she needs to know if someone can get her either from the airport to the amtrak station, or even better, to Eugene.
[4] -Bike-
(add your plans here)
[5] -Your Other Creative Inventive Travels-
- Maps, if you want to know how to get around Eugene, the train station will give you free maps of Eugene... both down town, and the whole town.

I want to do something like Ryland once said. I want to hitchhike around the country for a summer, crashing at friends' homes and then leaving one morning and hopping on a freight train and just heading off into America. I want to just do that for a summer and then just show up at camp (having taken care of all the paper work and the money before I left on my travels) and then just haveing the most amazing time.

[6] -Not Sure/General Discussion-
I really want to come back next year (2002) as junior staff. I may do a road trip, depending on timing. ~z~
Okay I have some important questions: :-)
- Can I get a cab in Portland?
- How long do you think it would take me(in a cab) to get from the airport to the Greyhound Bus depot in Portland?
- Are any of you riding the bus from Portland to Eugene and would you meet up with me?
- Speaking as somone who's seen a lot of bus stations, Portland is number two on my list of clean, spacious, safe feeling bus stations. (second only to Spokane, WA where it is combined with a Amtrak station)- Lorin
- also, the bus station, and train station in portland, are about one block apart.
