| FUCK |
Describe FUCK here.
-ok see thats the thing I'm swearing and yousing "bad" languige all the time and I dont like it,I want to be the polite quiet boy in the corner
that's not rude to everyone (like i em now) so if I'm being impolite or rude tell me please I have problems and it would help me alot!
Thomas
"Well, see, when a man and a woman are in love, and he puts his...[1]"
i use this word to much, and always out of context! and yet somehow it always seems partially satisfying... what's up with that, eh? but i wanna stop using it because it's hella stupid, i think, and represents a lack of vocabulary. so smack me when i overuse it, mmkay?
-moth
fuck is overused. I embrace it as a welcome addition to my vocabulary but I try to keep it from limiting my choice of words. People are used to it too. No one gets shocked. If you want to shock people, you have to be creative these days. Or if you want to be individual about it. (I like "bother" & "eternal damnation" quite a lot.) ~Rosie
whatthefuckhellno!
fuck fucking rules.
sure, it's dumb, 'cz it's overused. but when you wanna emphasize shit you say fuck! fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck!
heh. ok. i'm not explaining my point much. i'm just quite fond of the word. and i think it's underutilized but overused. -cory
When I use this word, I usually burst out laughing, becuase I feel strange saying it, for some reason. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. I don't know, okay? So get off my back about it eh! Go away!! Eeaugh! Fuck! hehehehehe. , being strange again. Watch out.
repeated use makes that problem go away. beleave me. so does lack of sleep. - cory
yah well i feel stupid when i say the word for some reason, that's why i feel like i gots to stop you know. lack of sleep doesn't make me sound stupid (that is a lie, a big fat lie). in fact, i'm funnier when i'm asleep. and much more interesting. actually i enjoy inviting friends over right before bed-time so that i'm asleep when they arrive. i feel i'm a better hostess under those conditions, you know what i mean? yeah. i should start going to school asleep and going to the movies asleep and the mall. i might make a lot more friends. but all this has little to do with the use of the word 'fuck'. did i mention that it's overused and stupid? okay. i think i've made my point: fuck sleep. or something like that.

A couple of things:
1) Read or see some David Mamet plays for glorious utilization of the word. (the movie or play of Glengarry Glen Ross is especially good)
2) Although I never used to feel comfortable saying it, and I still don't use it often, I think that those who object to other people saying fuck or using any other "bad" language (in everyday life or in movies and plays) are just being silly and should get over themselves, stop wasting everyone's time, and remember that little thing in the Constitution about Free Speech.
3) It's funny but I actually feel a little posessive?no, maybe just nostalgic?about the word "Fuck." I was in a brilliant play recently that I miss terribly in which my first lines were:
"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck! Fuck?you little fuckers! Fuck. Fuck it! I fucking give up."
Isn't that gorgeous? (My character was a homeless herion addict who was trying to learn to juggle.)

Yes! and in regards to #1, then go see "Tower of Babel" by David Ives, where he pokes lots of fun at David Mamet using fuck so much.
- Mmm, yes... I don't know if I've seen that one, but there's another David Ives piece called, I think, "Speed the Play" that is a spoof of Mamet. I laughed so hard when I saw that... Gosh, I'm glad you reminded me... I want to go read those again... -Emerie
Ok, Fuck, as a swearword, works really good, because it starts out with a soft fricative (fffffff) and builds to a loud plosive (CKKK). Plosive's are very powerful, and fricatives aren't, so it's a good contrast. Candra, who found all this out in a car ride with her Speech Therapist mother. Who's brother woke up to hearing, "FUCK! SHIT!!!! see, it works! HELLLLLL!!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!' from Candra's mother.
[1] Or a woman and a woman, or a man and a man, or any combination of numbers of people and genders, and . . no, I won't get into the corelation between the word "love" and the word "fuck" right now.
[2222] Yoooouuu, that's right, this is Your personal life story in detail, I'm not just using the second person where I shouldn't....
You know what is realy funny! when you watch a movie and when the people in the movie say FUCK!! and it sounds so unnatural. tehehehe.
I love how you can spend the day with folks who don't say fuck much, and then see a movie like "commitments" where they say Fuck a bit more, and they've got the strong irish accents and they sound funny, but by the end of the movie you[2222] don't hear anything odd about them and you realize it's cuz you're saying fuck all the time in your shiny new irish accent :)
-Mirandamurp
But FUCK!!! Is a spiffy word. But ruck dose not mean makeing love. It is moor of the word you would if you where do have a fling and fuck the person. Not and word for makeing love. BUt it is a cool word to use. HELL FUCKING YEAH!!
