It hurts to be gossiped about. It really worries some people. So, here's the purpose of this page. Write what you've heard about someone, something you want cleared up. Whatver, silly, serious, stupid, any gossip you think should be cleared up. Then, the person who the gossip is about can set us all straight on the story. That doesn't mean either party has to spill their guts, nor get graphic about anything. This is intended merely to keep the gossip at least truthful. I would like to think whoever it was who started this page, I did something like this at camp, it everyone loved it! and it cleared alot os stuff up, and a few people were very happy to learn what was being thought about them, befor alot of people started to talk about it, so I hope this catches on, because it really does work.

Man, I don't want to be the first to write on this page, especially if no one else is interested, but I want to know. I want to know if I was talked about negatively at camp, or right after. Like, did people talk about the problems I had, and how annoying I was? What was said? I know I was talked about some, because I've had a couple private conversations about this, but I'm just wondering if there's more. I feel like there is. Anyway... *shrugs* Whatever. • everyone was talked about. i think. thats part of camp. for me anyways. you talk about the people around you. and sometimes you have good things to say, and sometimes you have bad things to say. but no matter what, they're just opinions. i think if you think about something like this too much you'll drive yourself batty trying to figure out what people think of you. arf. - cory
• Dude, Cory, you just rock. I love the way you stated that... and I agree. I don't drive myself crazy wondering what people are saying about me, but I am curious. I don't think gossip is evil, either; people are always going to be interested in other people, and talk about them. I like the idea of this page because it would bring gossip out into the open so that the people being talked about can understand what's going on. Eire wonders if she makes sense. whatever

I think this page is a bad idea. Some stuff that's gossiped about is personal. And if someone posts a rumor they heard on here, and no one steps up or says anything (I certainlly won't be confirming or denying any gossip about me, true or not), it remains gossip and spreads even further. I think if someone's heard a rumor about some one else, or if someone has a problem with someone, they should talk to that person one-on-one. Not behind their back, and not bring it out in full view of the public.

• i agree with Zen in this one. i have always thought of gossip as something bad. things could go everywhere at once...sparks could fly...peoples feelings could be hurt... do you all really want to risk that? i'm sure however made this page is cool i just dont like the idea that much...but then again this person could have something else in mind...

• Yeah, I agree with Zen. I can totally see someone coming on here and then later on the phone or irc or whatever saying "hey, did you see what got posted on GosSip?? well, this is what it said.." I think this would be adding a lot to the gossip problem, not putting a stop to it. What if someone were to post "I heard so-and-so tried to commit suicide" and it turned out to be true? Then all of Wiki would know a really personal thing about that person that they may not have wanted to get out. It could really hurt someone to see stuff about themselves thrown out in public. If you hear gossip about someone, go directly to that person and ask them. I'm a really strong believer in that my personal business should remain just that-personal. I don't like being talked about behind my back. I want people to confront me, so that I can honestly explain things and clear up any confusion that they may have. Just something to ponder. • I agree with you both. I don't think this page is a good idea for all the reasons stated above.

so there was this guy, right? and this girl! and the two of them... well, they told everyone they were good friends. but then! one day! they sorta accidently somehow kissed without really trying to... then they had all these really long talks, both with eachother and with everyone they knew. most people thought they were really really cute together, but the girl and the guy were both pretty confused for some reason. then this other guy and this other girl came along, right? and they all got confused together! no body knew what the heck was going on. the first guy and girl decided that they weren't going to stay together anymore, they jsut liked eachother. they all talked a lot, forever and ever. the end. a consise summary of every camp relationship, ever. *smirk*
