Jasmine On Greyhound

I left December 27^th in the evening with a back pack, a bag, my sleeping bag and my guitar. The next day I reached Minneapolis, after a 5 hour surprise lay over in Chicago because we had no driver. Getting into Chicago only 2 hours late, where Lotus flew in with a bandage over one eye and an exclamation of "where have you been! I've been in the hospital." After an explanation, it turned out that the heater or radiator or whatever it's called was being vicious and attacked her and her head that was swooning from bleah fumes. Anyway. Back to Lotus' where Ryland, Becky, Chris B. and Lorin B. all were waiting. A few hours later, Lotus and Ryland and I returned to the Minneapolis station to retrieve Irina who is now Phoebe or fondly, Feebee. We spent one night all on Lotus' apartment floor and then the next day, Selena came and picked us all up and took us back to her house, minus Lotus. We surprised Forest with our presence a good amount, I'd say.

Then we spent one night there with a visit from the Dittberner's friend Brett, in a lovely cramped people pile. The next day, Matt B, Adam B, Curi and Matt's best friend Cedar (who should be going to camp this year) arrived. From there, the whole group went over to the party house a few miles away.

The party went off rather well, with various couples piled around, a fair share of bringing-in-the-new-year-orgy's, guitar playing, poetry readings, dramas and everything else that regularly happens at a NBTSC party.

On January 1^st, Becky went home. On the 2^nd, Ryland and Chris B. took off. Then on the 3^rd, everyone else dispersed, with Feebee and I getting on a bus and beginning the two night trip to Portland.

We stayed at the Banks-Watson's apartment for 2 nights where a small party ensued: Alex, Nick, Josie, Max, me, Feebee, Sarah B, Eve, Elizabeth and Emily G.S. Then I left, with Feebee staying behind.

Then it was onto Cory and Robby's up in Vancouver'sfun fun! We went bowling because it was the only thing open. (Yes Cory, everything does close early in Vancouver. ;p) It was good fun, just hanging around and talking 'n stuff. Then I left, running into Feebee in the Seattle station on her way to Cory's.

I on the other hand was on my way back down to Portland where Sarah B. met me at the station. We went back to her house and made chocolate chip cookies, drank tea and talked. The next morning, we got up and went ice skating with Elizabeth, Eve, Nick and Josie. Much to my annoyance, Alex did not make an appearance which I decided was just wrong and gave him a call on the pay phone and finally cajoled him into coming down to the mall and seeing us one more time. It was absolutely wonderful to see him again, as well as everyone else. Sarah went horse back riding so I went and hung out with the BW's and Elizabeth back at the BW's apartment and then took the public transit back to Sarah's who was then at college classes. Then we gave Rachel Compton a call so we could all catch up on each other's lives and to hear Rachel's amazing New Year's tales. *sigh* Then to bed. Now Sarah's having a recorder lesson in the living room, I'm typing on here and waiting for Anna Fritz to give us a call. Tonight, I'm taking off again, this time to Danielle's. Woo!

Update: Uh, I got a bit behind. Whoops. Anyway. I saw Anna. Then I left and saw Danielle. And then susannah and Samantha. Then Evan who is the greatest guy in the whole universe, I swear. :) and then I went to Summer's and saw Summer and rhymi and Serena and dylan and now I'm at Emma's, leaving to see RENT for the 3^rd time in about an hour. Tomorrow, I go to Courtney's. There. That's the abbreviated version.
