RENT is an awesome musical, written by Jonathon Larson, who died in 1996, right before the show hit broadway and became a huge sucess! It's truly a wonderful show that everyone should really get the chance to see. It intoduced me to musical theater in general, getting me into other great shows like Evita, Side Show, Songs for a New World, etc.

• God damn. See, I loved you before Zen. And now. Oh gee. I love RENT! I Love RENT! I LOVE RENT! Woooo! That's great. Yaaaah. There's some RENT songs on the mix tapes I made last night (Rachel C's getting some.) Zenyou kick ass. Oh yeah, though this is a site about RENT, not Zen. Uh, I saw RENT on Broadway this summer and I loved it. Cloe actually made me get it about a year ago and so I did(her music taste and mine have always been almost identical)and I loved it and when I went to New York this summer, I went. Then I went and saw a touring version of it (The Benny Tour, I think) in October. Finally seeing a play that you've just had to listen to the whole time is such a shock! ~Jasmine

oh my, I am such a huge RENT-head... I've seen the thing four times now, told about 3,000 more people to see it, and listened to the soundtrack so much that you could give me a line from almost any song and I could finish it for you... A couple years ago, I was in New York City and went to the diner (the Moondance diner) that Jonathan Larson worked at while he was writing Rent.... I am very serious when I say it was like a spiritual journey for me... -eira
