I wanted to build castles to protect eachother.
You said No.
I'd already started, and now,it sits there...
Piles of dirt from digging the foundations...
Walls just high enough to trip over...
An ugly sore on the hillside.
But was I really building it for you?
Or was it all a selfish plan,
A castle to hold you captive,
Keep you for myself.
Now I watch you skip away,
Content to rest unprotected in the feilds,
And I wonder how I can bring you back,
To make it worth my while to complete this castle,
Turn it from eyesore to eye candy.
I know now that I cannot hold you captive,
But I still want you to come and grace my castle
With your beuty now and again,
To use it for shelter when the world tries to hurt you.
I will continue to build this castle for you,
Even with out your help.
Maybe someday you will come back,
And build one for me.

Once upon a time we nailed ourselves together
Now you discover you want your freedom.
You go bring in the crowbar and pry us apart
Tearing the nails that bound us out of me, tearing at my soul
Maybe we should have used screws
You can take them out without ripping apart the wood
Or bending the screw
At least you can if they havn't been in use till they rust
And glue themselves in
