Moved from PoetryMarathon
- i have a question. i wrote a poem, that went right after robyn's, and before luke's. but it's not here now..... and i know that happened before to someone's poetry. why??? anyone have the answers? anyone know if it's retrievable? stupidly, that was the only place i had it.
RoyaBoya
- That happens when 2 people try to post at the same time. One of them accidently posts over the others poem. Next time it happens, try clicking on "Show strikeout" at the bottom of the page. sometimes you can get your poem back that way.

I just put up a new page on Paradoxical, and would looove some feedback. It's at http://writing.projects.nbtsc.org/ it's a place where we can write, hopefully collaboratively, but it also allows people to just post stuff that's all theirs too. Tall me what you think,
Hey - Anyone want to write a few poems about where they live? I need a few for my 'zine...~Maggie (Anisword at aol.com)
speaking of zines... dudes... that gave me a cool idea. what if we/i created a zine of all the poems from PoetryMarathon? it would be soo cool. what do you think?
xo.
jennyrose
- that would be SO AWESOME! how would that work, exactly? maybe at camp we'd spend some time compiling/collaging it or something? i haven't been to camp before, so i'm not really sure if the format is set up for that kind of thing... so you experienced nbtscers let me know. ;)
RoyaBoya
- well, i'm not going to camp this year, so i was thinking of just formatting it, getting everyone's permission, and then printing it up and sending it to whoever wants a copy. -jennyrose
- no! i need to meet the famous jennyrose. darn. anyways, that sounds splendirindific, if you are so inclined, go for it. oh you know what would be neat? is if we made one for every 50 poems. i should do a poetrymarathon workshop at camp, and we could collage a zine there.... hmm....
RoyaBoya (officially registered! yay!)
- i just wanted to tell you guys how wonderful and talented and amazing you all are... and i'm so proud of everyone! i can't believe how this page [PoetryMarathon] has blossomed. yeeeh :) anyhow, yay you.
RoyaBoya
- And thank you RoyaBoya darling for creating this page! I think it's beautiful, and I love it. I feel like I can write more freely on here in a way...it's less inhibiting than sitting down with a pen and paper and saying "Ok, I am now going to write a Poem, with a capital P." I also love taking lines from other people's poems, what a great inspiration.
Love you!
~Becky~
- yeah it's incredible.. you ever read Writing Down The Bones, by Natalie Goldberg? She's pretty much responsible for how much i write now. "DO NOT THINK" is the biggest rule. it's served me well. ;)
RoyaBoya
- Ho boy! Natalie Goldberg's books on writing are the sanest around! I think her "just write" exercise has been the most helpful to me: Write. Don't stop. Don't look back. Keep going. Try to find the Long Quiet Highway, if you haven't yet. I think I read it four times in a row. :)
