Roya Boya

 It has been brought to my attention,
 that no one has made so much as a mention,
 of this wonderful creature,
 who has many great features,
 in rather a long while!
 so I'll write a mile!
 she can sing, dance,
 wear wings and prance!
 she can play the guitar,
 although not the sitar.
 she can play play Dar william,
 and I say, bill him!
 why, you ask?
 to mask the fact,
 that no word I can find,
 will rhyme, 
 with william!
 and now I end this piece,
 without the police,
 which I wrote,
 in a boat,
 for roya!

Roya you sweetsweet thing! My wife, my friend. She's there when ever i need to talk or when i need lifting up, She's always there! I love her darling! Her hair is always wonderful and she makes a bu-te-ful fairy with her hand made wings...ah. Shes heaven sent! -Carolyn

Roya is an all around awesome person! She's a really great singer, definately one the best singing voices at Camp. Although Camp will never be the same without Summer, Roya's presence decreased the void by an amazing amount.

One day during first session of camp this year (01) I got a really bad headache. I went to lay down in my bunk in laurel and I was just kind of zoning when this amazing breath-taking voice floated over to my bed and I was utterly awestriken by the beauty in this voice. The song it was singing I didn't even remember, just the incredible sound. I think that will always be the first thing I think about when I remember Roya, that voice. Then I'll remember the way she smiles with her whole being, the way she laughs and moves and the way she can light up a whole room. Her very being just fills the whole place with light and I missed her terribly at second session. She supported me in my, rather nasty, attempt at poetry and helped me face my fears and stand up and share with a group at her awesome poetry slam. Even though I didn't get to talk to you much, I hope we can be great friends, much love,

Roya is such an incredible person. I met her at Marina's birthday party, but I feel like I've known her so much longer. We went through so much together! *grins* LOT'S of stuff, eh Roya? She can really speak her mind eloquently, which is such an incredibly beautiful thing to me. She's extremely talented, has an amazing voice, can learn songs really quickly, can play the guitar, and is a really, really good writer. She's also really beautiful. I have so much in common with her, and even though we've gone through some hard times and problems (heh heh) it just makes me feel closer to her! I love you Roya! What can I say? • Roya, this entry is in serious need of updation! First of all, I love you! Now let me count the ways (though I think there are too many to adequately count). You are wonderful to talk with on the phone, everything you say is something that I want to say but haven't thought of yet, (if that makes sense) or have never been able to put into words. You shine darling. You have this light and energy and sparkle and depth of emotion about you that is unmistakable and irrisistable. When you're around, it's impossible not to smile, or laugh, or fly away on your buoyantness. Talking with you and being with you is so inspiring. You throw off waves of creativity like light, and you make me want to write and sing and soar to new heights of inspiredness. And you give such good, wise advice! I remember talking to you once on the phone about a certain boy issue and being at my wit's end and moaning "Roya...what should I DO???" Or something to that effect, and then you proceded calmly, compassionately and intelligently to tell me what I could do in the situation, and it struck me as so wise and honest and thoughtful and I was relieved and felt very much better. You are so, so eloquent too. I am always enthralled with the way you can put together words into a kind of incredible, unique, beautiful collage of meaning, in the way you talk as well as in the way you write. You are like a gorgeous summer day at the ocean, and a piece of clear, clear seaglass, and a brightly painted carosel, and a low, beautiful song sung softly at sunset. Ahhh. I am replacing my previous post because it was nowhere near adequate so I gotta write again... not least because Roya just wrote on my AllSoRad page and wow I love her... Roya is my friend I can tell anything to, I know she won't judge me or hate me. I am so blessed that she's my friend. Without Roya I would be... blah. She adds so much color and intrest to my life... She is larger than life. She loves and hates and everything in between with equal intensity and she gets so involved in everything! It involves everyone around her too... She captivates. She has mastered the art of continually being the center of attention. And she is the center of attention for good reason too! She has so many amazing talents... Wonderful voice, wonderful writer and poet, wonderful potter... I love using the mugs and bowls she gave me... Roya. Is. Amazing. I'm so lucky to know her and be her friend, and even though sometimes I can't understand why, I want to be friends with her forever. I love you lots.

I totaly agree with Marina, there are waaaaaaaay too many things to say about Roya to fit onto one page, so i'll kinda sum it all up. Roya is a great poet, potter, singer and friend all in one. You are so awesome, Roya!!!!! ~Ethan~ :)

Time for an update! Roya still has the most gorgeous voice in the world. She's...an artist. That's the best word I can think of, right now anyway. The way she lives and thinks is art. Everything she does is art. She makes me so hyper! She's like the Energizer bunny, 'cause their hair's the same color obviously, and they both keep gooooing and goooing. I miss her... Roya! She's so...CHARACTERFULL!! (and even if that wasn't a word 5 minutes ago...it is now!HA!). Except...you're amazing. there's a sort of aurra about you, and when you walk into the room you're there, and you care about people so, and I just love that, when a person is, without any veils on, available to talk or for a hug, and not nearly enough people are that way, genuine or frank or even open, but you are and it's lovely. You were singing, the last day I was in california, singing as you washed the dishes and you have a beautifull voice Roya and I left the room but not the house because it was just so damme beautifull I knew my heart would break if I stayed in the same room with that sound any longer. ~Kim

because i just feel so damn happy right now, i'm gonna tell you how i'm so rad. ;) i am a creativecreative person. i do the neatest things to my journal. i love looking at my bookshelf and seeing the 50+ journals sitting there. and recently i've just been.. roya is so so so beautiful. she's got a great smile. her voice is amazing. she writes with the best of anyone. I haven't heard her say one mean thing about anyone at any time. she just gives you a great feeling being around her. she's been the bigest sweetie to me (just like she is with everyone else. she just amazes me with her beauty. I had the immense pleasure of being part of an excellent IRC conversation the other night that culminated in Roya geeking about ceramics, and, wow. It's always cool when people talk about the things they love, but Roya does an exceptional job. Clay, I'm now quite convinced, is the greatest thing since the inception of matter. I implore her to do some sort of ceramics workshop at camp next year, because I'm dying to see this stuff in action. (If only Myrtlewood were setup for raku...) She asks really good questions, and answers great and stupid questions alike with honesty and thoughtfulness. And now I'm off to kick myself for not having talked with her sooner. Nick/Platypus
