| Questions About Camp |
We all know that us new campers (and very well some of you 'old' campers) have questions about camp... go ahead- shoot... we'll see if people can answer these!
Put up for Carsie
Is there a tv/vcr at camp myrtlewood?
Nopesie. sorry.
- In 98 we got one hooked up for that UFO movie.
- Yep, they exist, but they're kept well hidden
- There are computers with accompanying geeks, though. (The Matrix rocks!)
What is the mailing address for camp if people want to write to campers while they're gone?
if you look in your little camp hand book [1](page 2), you will find a mailing address for myrtlewood, that is where camp is going to be at, both sessions, the address is <your name> c/o NBTSC, Camp Myrtlewood, HC 85, Box 91E, Myrtle Point, OR 97458.
This is not the address that you send your forms too, this is where you send letters to people like Me while we are at camp (hint hint) it takes a few days to get mail from very far away , and the last days to receive mail there will be setember 2nd (1st session) and september 11th (2nd session) (Sorry, No Vistors)
Anybody know how much camp will cost this year?
- probably the same as last year. i don't think they're going to raise the cost again, but i'm not sure...
Its on the main site. Go to www.nbtsc.org and then click on the link about camp stuff I think its called regisration info or camp 2001 info or somthing like that.

Is there a paved place at Camp Myrtlewood(a bike path or walk, basketball court, parking lot) where I can skate? I've got rollerblading down to an art! Ren
- Not as far as I know. . . . I think that the paths and parking lot are all gravel and packed dirt. But I suppose thing could have changed by 2001.
- Well, I think there's a basketball court? I'm not sure what shape it's in.
- There is a court... usable, but not smooth by any means.

- Well I can do without my skates.
Also, what's the power shuffle? All I have heard is that it's scary.
- The Power Shuffle is an amazing, being-honest-with-yourself activity that usually takes place one of the evenings at camp. It is a very serious, emotional and often very sad activity. But, I don't think it's scary. Of course, some people have different opinions than me. It's about being honest with yourself, admitting things, and facing the truth. A very powerful activity (hence it's name), and to my mind, a very bonding experience.
I didn't really mean to say scary-that's just what came out last night. I
did get the idea from some people that it was very...emotional. I can't
really put the feeling I got into a word.
- Basically, answering a lot of questions. :) Not vocally.
Okay I have another question. Can you guys tell me about Prom?
- Okay "Prom" is the official dress-up dance that happens at camp on one of the nights, after the talent show. there are lots of spontanious dances that happen throughout the week, usually, but "Prom" is the one where everyone dresses up, and some people even get dates. you don't have to go to prom, but most people do, it seems. so, basically it's just a lot of fun and dancing and gettin' down. Did i explain it well enough?
Yeah!
Do I have to lead a workshop? I can't think of anything to do.
- no, you do not have to lead a workshop. But it's still a good thing to do if you want to. And you can always decide at camp and write it in on the schedule. Which is usually what ends up happening anyway.

Is camp actaully an evil cult that is trying to make us all into mindless zombies??
- I would think so, yes. Ahem.
- yup, that makes perfect sense. hence the uniform ununiformity. *nods wisely*

- Nope! It's an evil cult that is succeding in turning us in to mindful caring crazy and connected zombies. *GRIN* [2]

[1] Which I have skillfully managed to lose in the pit that is my bedroom... but thanks.
[2] Mindless zombies are what we are AT camp due to lack of sleep tho.
