Scott is....

socct is such a great guy, it was so much fun taking his workshop at camp this year, it was so much fun to go out and get all muddy and get in touch with nature, I do that a lot my self, that's why it was so great to have someone with so much knowledge on stuff like traking, camo, and all that great stuff. it really meant a lot to me, I felt like I'd lost touch with nature for a long time, but that helped me remmber how beautiful everything was. I also want to thank you for the little thing you did before dinner, it was so thoughtful of you to give thanks for all those things. some people didn't realize how great of a thing you had going on there, but I did, and I thank you for doing that. thanks for everything scott, I learned a lot from you...... your nature loving friend... Great balls of fire! How could I have not written on this page yet?! Eh em. Scott. Wow. Scott is so Scott! There's no one else like him. Whenever I'm around him, I feel totally and completely at ease, like I could and would tell him anything and feel like I could absolutely trust him with it. He is on of the BEST listeners I have ever met, and that is something that just strikes me whenever I'm with him. I remember at HSC one night, we hadn't seen each other since camp 2000, and so we went out by the fountain, and told each other the in-depth stories of our lives since then. Most people get a slightly glazed expression on their faces after you've been rambling about all the convoulted drama of your life for quite some time, but Scott paid compassionate and rapt attention the whole time, and that meant so much to me. Scott has the best smile too! It's so warm, and it just shines. He's also an excellent dancer, a hilarious co-composer of songs about durian, and his dedication and skill at wilderness survival impresses me to no end. Scott, you rock. Love, ~Becky~

I am really mad that i never got to know Scott better...

but at dance we had a talk i will remember forever :) you really cair abount people and for that i respect you. you are really cool calm, if there is a name to give you it's Scott :)

The Wilderness Adventure Dude. Need to start a fire, dig up some tubers, sneak up on a Grizzly and stick a "kick me" sign on it's butt? Then Scott's your man. Seriously though, I didn't actually talk to Scott until after camp at the motel that he and a bunch of other campers were staying at. I went to the motel to hang out, but many of the unschoolers there were people I didn't know that well and I was feeling shy so I went to the least crowded room and there was Scott. We started talking about various things, mostly what kinds of fruit trees grew in our respective parts of the country. I have never meet a guy so passionate about vegetables before : ). He is very friendly and knowledgeable of so many things, particularly nature and wilderness survival, which is beyond rad. Awesome is well... an awesome game and Scott has cool moccasins. i dont know scott all that well because i only spent 3 days around him and we didnt have too much 1 on 1. but he rocks from what i've seen. i love that he's a raw foodist and that just is awesome and inspirational and takes a lot of guts (i would know from going vegan). scott is also very beautiful and seems really mature and sweet and i would love to have hours to converse with him. he needs to come to theory next year. :) ~jennyrose

...one of the people I got along with well that I didn't get to KNOW as well as I would have liked. Scott is a great dancer, the Master Clipper (every time I see a clothes pin, I think of you, Scott...), and banana peel sneak extraordinaire. Scott is an awesome, amazing, nature loving, wonderful, sweet, lovable and loving guy. He know's all these things that are fascinating...I love listening to him talk about the things he's interested in. And he has a comfy lap! *smile* ~Erin

Scott is a sweetie! He's one of the first new campers I met this year. He's a great dancer, and he's great at TEACHING dance, too, which is a rare gift. He's extremely persistent and an all-around cool guy. - Emma

...awesome! That is the neatest game! My first memory of Scott is when he climbed up a tree at the airport that didn't have any branches for about 10 feet. That, and I noticed his leather shoes. :) From then on I just kept noticing more and more and likeing everything I saw. He's a great swing dancer and argintine tango-er, and very patient with a large group of people who have no idea what they're doing. He knows an awful lot about the wilderness too. An all around great, kewl, amazing, awesome guy! -marina

He is the man. I'm so glad I got to hang out with him. He's so funny and he can be serious too. I love his animal walks and impressions. And his laugh. and how he eats banana's. He's just an awesomely great dude.

Okay okay...so yeah. I'm a looser and haven't gotten to this page yet, but hey! Scott knows he's the cool dude that jumps out of no where and offers me a banana in the middle of the night on a dark path, he can't seem to stop being interesting, and he will never be able to pull off being a discriptiong of the word "boring". In fact, he is the antenym of "boring", somehow managing to be the coolest, happyest, funniest, sweetest, smartest guy. Just like that....yeah. Bananaman! loveya ~Melanie

Scott amazes me. Scott is one of the most interesting, worthwhile people i have ever had the pleasure of being friends with. every time i think i've reached the limit of scott's amazingness, i discover something else. i think the thing that really stands out where scott's concerned, is his compassion. his gratitude. his thoughtfulness. about everything; people, his friends, our ancestors, the next generation, the earth, the trees, the ground we walk on. everything. he puts me in my place, gives me perspective. which is a really really good thing. he also has a glowing smile, and i love when he laughs. scott has taught me so much about being a better person. i love you scott.. I've only hung out with scott for a weekend, but he's so cool to hang out with! he's really good at telling stories, which noone seems to have mentioned. and he's got a cool calm manner, but he's still totally alert. he seems really in touch with himslef. If I ever got stranded on a desert island I'd take scott and my brother wayland along:) Josh
