The Little List Of Wiki Good Kharma Guide Lines

Pweeeeaase me wonderfull little ducties...

Okay. Ari gets a little steamed at all these rules, rules rules Do we really have to have fifteen sets of rules posted everywhere, when we don't need any at all? This seems like such a good playground for no rules at all (Darwinistic rules, perhaps. May the best (whatever that is) content survive?)

Bother, okay, there's a reason I said "guidelines" and it has a lot to do with how lousily I was misspelling "ediquite" or a few other more apt words. These aren't supposed to be "rules" in the slightest, yes, this is like a graffitti wall, but one with infinite space, so all I'm saying is basically, if you think it might piss somebody off, don't delete there shit. I suppose it goes without saying, but I just thought I'd say it anyway.

Mmm, Okay. I just wonder if that is appropriate ettiquette for a Wiki board. The whole thing is ephemeral. It changes. I rather like that. (Ari)

  • 1) Add all sorts of lovely stuff everywhere.
    • Or unlovely, but keep it honest, perhaps? (Ari)
      • Okay rick, this is Mr. Z, let's just suffice it to say you should know how twisted my idea of "lovely" is.
      • Check. So's mine. (Ari)
    • Funfunfunfunfun!!!! ~Mr.z~
  • 2) Don't delete it unless you wrote it.
    • Or it needs to go. or there needs to be something new. Or you want something else. Wiki is great, Wiki is ephemeral. Wiki is fast. Wiki Wiki Wiki. (Ari)
    • yeah, just don't make people want to linch you, I'd just hate to see this turn into a digital blood bath over one of our little feuds. (~z~)
    • Yeah, but we don't usually do bloodbaths. (Ari the smug)
    • Heh, ari the 5X Libra. ~Mr.z~
    • 3) Only correct someone elses spelling if you asked and they said you could, or if they put (sp?) after the word.
    • Or not, but do think about it, as always. Misspellings are a part of someone too, of course, and can tell a lot about someone.
      • I want to rant about the use of "(sp?)". Read all about SpellingCounts
      • I have a problem with SpellingCounts, that's why I suggested the (sp?) Read all about SoDoThoughts. I won't mind a lot of the time if people correct my spelling on here, but being the heritic that I am, I actually want my words spelled "wrong" a considerable amount of the time, such as in my raps (sometimes my spelling of it is vitaly important to the rythem) and I'll be really ticked off if someone goes around correcting my spelling everywhere.
      • 'course. It's actually the use of "(sp?)" that bugs me. It's "I know this is wrong, it'd be better if it was right. I didn't bother to find out". There's plenty of misspellings out there that impprove the text, not degrade it. If you know it's wrong, but it should be, leave it wrong. If you're not sure and lazy, that kinda bugs me. If you're unsure and have better things to do, I understand. <shrug>. (Ari)
    • I'm in the last catagory, basically, I use (sp?) so those of you bugged to death by misspellings know I won't shoot you if you correct that one, but yes, I suppose I could just trust you all to be able to tell... maybe... <Mr.z eyes all the spelling freaks suspiciously...>
  • 4) Use all the profanity you want on here. (you know, "School," "Standardized Test," "McDonalds" etc.)
    • hehe. (Ari)
    • Have you ever been to a big city? Fast food resturaunts are the last bastion of safety and solace in a hard scary world. I was in hartford, walking from the bus station to a music school to see Ben Folds Five. I had to walk through a bad part of hartford to get there. Scary people kept coming up and talking to me and asking for money and stuff. Creepier than hell. Call me a wussy white kid, but i have never felt more relief than when i found the taco bell. I walked in there, it was well lighted, the people were friendly, i got familiar food and most of all, recharged my toughness batteries to be able to handle another three and a half blocks to the college. McDonalds is actually the best for this becuase of their strict franchisee rules. If lots of people got killed there, they would close the place. But since its still open, its safe! so, yeah. fastfood rules. Subway rules the most tho. Personal opinion, yo. -Ethan
    • ethan, i am so in love with you. ~naomi
    • I donno, I think it's kinda gross that they serve food in the public restrooms. (Reanna grins mischieviously)
  • I would just like to ask everyone if they would pleeeease keep the footnotes at the bottom of the page... ~Erin
  • And I would ask that people delete postings (comments, links, etc) that they put a long time ago and are now out of date, to keep pages at least resembling "neat and tidy". I'd dearly love to do it for you, but I don't want to get into trouble. So I'm a Virgo, sue me :) --Eireann
