What Is Love

WhatIsLove?

I meant to say "I love you" but what came out was "You are beautiful and i want to touch you". I wanted to say "I love you" but "We're good friends and all i can handle right now is friendship" stumbled out of my mind. I needed to say "I love you" but it sounded like "we're family, I'll stick by you no matter what". What i wanted to do was say "I love you" and mean it... -Dawn

love is evol backwards

Love is Love

Love is standing on the side of a mountan
with a waterfall rushing beside you
having the water splash on your face
then feel rain start to come.
have the rain and waterfall water poor off your head face hands back and
into your shoes
then reaching out for the arms of the boy you would give anything to just
to make him smile siting down and having a good little cry
"love comes when you are ready love comes when your afread it will be your
greatest teacher and the best friend you have made"
i finaly feel ready to be loved and to love back

--Heather

Love is Joy and Pain, Laughter and Tears, Smiles and Frowns, Hard times and Nice times. Love is the willingness to work things out.

 ~Snow~
  • What if you love, and it can't be worked out? Where do you find yourself then?

Love is: saying This Is The Way I AM,do you dare accept me for it?

i see love as being on a moutain with some one you love love is having rain fall on your face.. (my favorite things to do)

Love is when you worry about people, but never let them feel guilty or held back for a single moment. Love is when you can ask people to do anything, with the firm understanding that they can say no and it will be quite fine. Love is never wasted, never tainted, never encouraged, never free...as long as you're loving something mortal. Love to the undying in a soul is the most perfect thing in the world. Love is letting go, letting bounce, reaching out to whatever comes. Love rocks.

~wind~

Love is caring enough to say you're sorry. [1]

Love is always having that someone in your mind, even when your thinking of other stuff, They're always there.

  • Does that mean I'm in love? Because lately that's exactly how I've been feeling.
  • I feel that way all the time. About many different people. But I don't think loving someone is necessarily the same thing as being In Love with them. --Kathleen
  • Well, yes, there is a complete difference. But lately I've been feeling like this about one person, not many people. So could it be in love, rather than just love? --Jekissa
  • I am in love, and that is how I feel. --Snow
  • I wish I knew for sure if I was... --jekissa
  • and I argue with myself. silly girl, 14 year olds can't fall in love. Of course they can. not real love, not really. I never said I wanted to have their babies. but that's being in love. well I say phooey. --Ali
    • Ali, I completely agree with that. I never said I wanted to marry them. I think it's just another thing some adults feel like they need to have to themselves. "It comes with age." I think some people are perfectly capable of it, but the adults come up with all these stupid arguments of why we aren't. (That, and the whole "having their child" thing. I'm 14! I am not ready to have kids, regardless of whether I'm in love or not.) --Jekissa
      • to me it seems like as one grows older, almost all your feelings deepen. including love. just cause you have more expiriences and more things to relate other things too. course, i also disagree with myself and say there's nothing like first young love. and i'm both right. heh. --marina
        • I guess I decided that the whole in love thing freaked me out a little bit too much... I think for me, right now, friends are the best way... --Ali

What's the difference between obsession and love?

  • similar to the difference between love and need, methinks...to love truely is to enjoy the thing without strain on it, to live fully in the moment when it makes you happy, and discard it when it's time is done...very objective, and to some, objectionable...maybe what we are really doing is falling in Need....can we trulely love?
    • yes and no, although I think a lot of times we think we have fallen in love when we have actually fallen in need. Maybe people can't tell the difference, so they are actually one and the same. --jekissa

and then of course, there's the difference of being IN love, and ON love...

How would you feel if someone was in Love with you?

  • happy?
  • afraid?
  • worried?

What if you didn't love them back? What if you did?

Love is when you can't hide it and can't deny it. Erin

love is stupid and pointless. love never lasts forever. never hook up becuz if you do, you're always gonna have to deal with the break-up. love is only hurt and pain. love sucks. ~kymi~

  • even that shallow meaningless animal sort of love is lovely while it lasts. don't give up so quickly. ~wind~

"Love is a many splendid thing. Love is like oxygen. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love." Moulin Rouge

Love is feeling happiest when you're with that one person. Love is not quite managing to feel happy when you're not, no matter how wonderful your life is.

I don't know whether that's True. I am saying what I feel and calling it Love.

Isn't that what everyone does? --marina

  • yes. I realize that more and more. -jessica
  • I agree with you, Marina. -Ender

[1] Hey, but I heard it was "never having to say you're sorry"!

love is never having to take a piss......oh wait, that's god. -nay

Love is looking into someones eyes and careing for them more than words can tell. Love is the phone call at midnight just to hear their voice. Love is trusting someone with your views, your belifs, trusting that they will not think badly of you. Love is their hand gently in yours. Love is your closest friend, only better. Love is Joy. Love is the grin that begins in your soul and will not leave your lips. Love is looking at the world and thinking "My god, it is BEAUTIFUL here!". Love is missing someone for every moment they are noy by your side, but respecting them enough to give them space anyway. Love is the pain deeper that tears when you arnt sure if they still love you back, and you hope so very much that they do. Love is the Laughter that makes you forget all the pain when you are together again, smileing again. Love is a river. Love is a rollorcoaster. Love is insane. Love is wise. Love simply is.

-Ender
