L I V Efor

You are my reason for living, it is for you that I wake up each morning. And if I didn't have you I'd find another reason.

While we're on the subject...what would you DIEfor?

  • And I'd like to know what you'd SWOONfor too...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What do I live for? I see these lists and can't help but grin. I live for the sound of my baby sister laughing and singing along to her favorite movies that she watches 800 times a day I live for the warm cozy days when you can sit and look out the window at the snow the wonderful mornings when you dive into the snow headfirst play all day and snuggle into bed with wool socks and some hot chocolate Playing in the rain being weird just to be weird Singing when I know no one is listening Singing even though people are listening Flirting teasing playing that feeling when you're playing on the swings and you feel like you're flying... playing with hats and strange clothes in WalMart Falling asleep wrapped up in a guys arms comfortable beyond words playing with guys' hair the list goes on and on and on....
What I live for? the list is pretty short: Jackie shes the reason I wake up in the morning and get out of bed, shes the reason I diecide that life is worth living she saved me from a cold sad lonly death and for that I love her so very very much.
What do I live for... I live for the beauty that radiates from all living things, and the life that excists even in things like concrete and cars. I live for laughter and joy. I live for exhasperation and frustration. Amazement and passion. For coloured leaves and crisp wind. For warm hugs and talking friends. For hot tea and fire circles. For sunny days and ocean waves. To run in the sprinklers and swim in lakes. To try new things when they show face. For generous giving and gracious recieving. Feeling the laughter of an inside joke, and seeing the twinkle in mischevious eyes. For support and love. For everything that this world gives. There's so much to live for in this world that it cannot be accounted for with words or numbers or even thoughts! I live for the things I do as well as the things I have not done yet, and the things I have known for who knows how long as well as the things I won't know about for a time to come. Learning and loving and on I could go! And where I could stop? No one could know. - erin
Let's make a big list.
I live because I have something to create... ... right now... I live for the goal of finding out all that I can about a particular stretch of the North Saskatchewan River and the people who lived there. I live for the goal of being able to create in my mind an image of who those people were and how they lived... to have that image in my mind, to be able to turn it over and over and somehow find meaning within that image.
Perhaps that image will be both created and expressed through http://www.smokylake.com/history/ or perhaps sometime I'll take it beyond there and do as I've dreamed of before.... perhaps I'll write fiction about the people who lived there so long ago. Perhaps I'll find meaning and comfort in that.
I live for late night phone conversations about nothing. I live for rambly letters about people's lives and the weather and the interesting thing they saw while taking a walk the other day. I live for long hugs from people I love. I live for every single breath that I take. I live for the faces of my friends as they step into the train station, or as they step off the bus, or as they walk into the airport. I live for the thrill of traveling. I live for the faces of the kids I babysit. I live for the laughter of my cousins as I juggle and drop things on my head. I live for the steady beat of the music. I live for the voice of anyone brave enough to sing out loud. I live for star gazing in dew-soaked fields. I live for spinning around and around and sitting down and watching the world spin around me. I live for staying up too late in couch piles. I live for falling asleep in couch piles. I live for duct tape jewelery. I live for mixed CDs. I live for new experiences. I live for my favorite song coming on the radio. I live for singing in the shower when no one's home. I live for my guitar and the music I can make on it. I live for short spontaneous phone calls where it takes me five minutes after they've hung up to figure out who it was. I live for random acts of kindness and little kids trying on their parent's clothes. I live for laughing so hard I can't stand up straight, and laughing so long my sides hurt and I'm out of breath. I live for love and journal entries and kisses. I live for flowers and blue skies and grey skies and lightning and rainbows. I live for long walks and changing leaves and good books. I live for parties and dancing and live music. I live for... life. --Fiona
I live for opening up to people, to find out something really deep about them, to make others smile as much as possible. I live, so I can make this world a better place for everyone. I live for the the sweetie little things in life, not the big things. I live for music and the muse that's in me. I live for sports like, fishing on a wet day when you can feel your soul cast out acossed the water just like your line. I live for baseball, the smell of fresh cut grass as step out on to the field, for the joy of hitting the ball and that ever so sweet part of your bat..... I live for the outdoors, for the trees that are so beautiful, for the bule sky and sunny days, for rainy days in the mud, long walks through the woods with my friends, the leafs that fall down in the fall. I live for the feeling of waking up beside someone you turly love. I live to see new things and see new places...... but what I live for most in life is being open enough to try anything at any time in your life........ living life the best I can and loving it......-MATTB-
I live for joy. For trees. Water. Strangers slowly dissolving into friends. I live for pain, because it's part of the deal, and for pleasure even if it's not. I live for music, always leading me onward into the brightness of what I don't know... yet. I live for peace, for love, for sharp tools and good wood. I live for the unmatchable brightness of new comprehension in a child's eyes... may those eyes be often my own. I live for garbage converted back into treasures, by composting or by fixing it. I live for hugs. Details. Principles. A warm day in a cold week. Gifts. Letters. And for all That I can never see. I live because I am, and I am because someone must be. It's messy, I know, but it's enough for me. --Chris B.
