• blowing bubbles in bed towards the ceiling and feeling them pop on you or watching them turn into ghost bubbles and disappear
• east coast beaches [i live in barbados] with rocks and driftwood and angrier waves than the vapid, placid west coast
• woods, trees, empty parks
• pouring your hurt into your violin or a poem, and getting up after playing or writing and feeling it dissapate

• your back relaxing after getting into bed at the end of a day
• skinnyboy hugs
• napping in a hammock
• running around on a ridge, above all the lights of the island, and lighting sparklers
• singing along to old music... mindless mush.. ooo it's so soul numbingly pleasant
• when someone hugs you from behind when you're washing dishes
• kisses on the back of the neck at one of those moments
• driving at night on a long country road, and playing 'hotel california'
• making sand angels
• making scrapbooks
• speaking french
• ducks

• hearing a new song i like
• making someone smile
• tastes and textures and contrasting colors
• good writing
• being creative
• when someone notices something small that no one's ever complimented me on before, or when i can give someone a compliment like that
• getting mail or email or phone calls
• giddiness
• that voice inside that says "i won't let you fall apart," that lets you know everything will be okay
• smiling in the face of adversity instead of letting it get me down
• being around people who bring out the best in me
• when people cook for me
• knowing i've accomplished a lot of my goals
• knowing i work in one of my favorite stores
• learning new words
• first kisses and those first almost magical moments with someone...that first glimmer of infatuation...
• enduring friendships and love that grows with time
• going to poetry readings
• taking martial arts classes again (at least, i assume it will)
• and everything else, big and small.
