i love and miss you ever so much. Marina is so smart and fun and hip. I remember at camp she started writing more lightbulb jokes in the camp journal and I was reading over her shoulder and laughing so hard. And watching her sit in the lodge and braid Victor's hair was amusing as well, as she managed to keep a poker face where I would have been gawking at the immensely large job staring me in the... face. And her piano playing at the talent show was superb. Reading her livejournal is a way of tapping ito her amazing brain, and draining out lots and lots of goodness and love. I love Marina.
Marina is, I think, one of the smartest people I know. (Not to mention, really cool!) Once at camp last year, I was walking down a path and rambling to Erin M. about something. I'm not sure what I was talking about, but I was rambling and therefor didn't have much an idea what I was talking about. So anyways, Marina was walking on the other direction on the path and she commented on my ramble. I stoped dead in my tracks. She had understood what I was saying. I was amazed! So that's why I think Marina is cool. She's smart and she understand people, even when those people are aperently making no sense. -The LHF Marina is COOL!!!!! (And my sister, but that's beside the point) Marina is an Awesome Possum (or something like that). She is one of the coolest sisters I've ever had (biological or not) and she's a great friend too. She rocks at the guitar and she has a gorgeous voice and gorgeous hair (and I feel like I'm just repeating Ona) and I love her purple hoodie and her smile and she and I had so much fun skipping around the Eugene airport and turning phones upside down while we waited for people to come and sh bought a snickers bar and gave me half of it. And the girl write awesome poetry and when she reads it i want to sit and listen foreverandever and she gave me a necklace with a sand dollar on it for my birthday and I love her to death! ~Franny~ Marina is beautiful and funny and smart, and an amazing guitar player (and piano player, for that matter...), and her voice is so gorgeous that I could listen to it for hours. Her writing is awesome - reading it is like... I can't even describe it. I just love reading anything that Marina writes, because it's so good! Plus, I get to see her in January!! Yay! Marina is one of the most vibrant, warm, wonderful listeners I know. She has a keen insight into life, into people, and I miss her when she's not around to talk to. _*Booooop*. I love you Marina. I miss her flashes of looking-light that come suddenly from her eyes. I miss the way she looks at the moon soulfully and when she washes dishes and sings. I miss...I miss wandering the streets with her and singing stupid songs. I want to wander the fields, gathering a thousand butterflies with her only to set them all free. Marina's the one who got me to come write on here in the first place. She's one of my most interesting inspirations. Mar has this way of making me believe in my dream house. She comes across as being fairly serious, studious and (trying to find another s word here..)(ah well) and thoughtful. and then you realize what kind of thoughts are fizzing under the surface, and you have to take a step back - before grabbing her arm and tangoe-ing across the room. she's the only person i've ever, EVER been able to do a trust fall with. need i say more? royaboya a superfriendly, smarty pants chica with an awesome attitude. She's fun to be around and can be both mature and child-like (which is a good way to be.) And yes, Marina, I am having fun. - Kim W. marina is a great poet, a friendly person, and hipster cool. (jessica) 8.27 woot. update time. well, i dunno. marina could be cool, but she lives on the wrong coast. and she's terrible at being snotty and gloomy and chic. instead, she's friendly and creative and helpful and funny. what ever shall we do. pretty soon she's going to make the whole WORLD happy, and then gloom and doom will just go out of business. and she's willing to be interviewed Marina is really effusive and thoughtful. She seems to have nice things to say about people and everything in the world. She's just looking at things from a positiver perspective, and I dig that. Marina is so much FUN! She puts out this great fun-filled energy and just being around her makes you feel happy. She has this really great, perky personality and she is so nice and sweet. Marina has something nice to say about everybody! i really regret not getting to know her better, but she's so friendly and fun I'm sure that won't be a hard thing to change. Jenny Marina either stole my idea or had it herself at the same time when she wrote a poem for her camp bio. I lean towards the "hed it herself" position, because her poem was too good to have been a ripoff of mine. I can't add much to all this everyone has said, except that I deeply admire that offhand grin, which hints at so much intelligence, mischeif, and something very near to psycopathic amounts of well-harnessed fun. -Chris Black... i miss marina and wish she would come take me away with her and be my hidden princess. marina you are such a yellow person that i am blue without you. Marina is too important to me not to write on here again. because i'm obsessed. and see, that's a good thing. you know, with some obsessions it's not healthy? well with this particular obsession, it's the healthiest thing in the world. marina keeps me SANE. or insane. depending on how you look at it. and see, that's another rad thing about her, she makes me look at things differently. without her to be my therapist... i'd be spending 200 bucks an hour to someone not nearly as fun. without her being the ocean child, the flower child, the philosophical hippie highonlife, well there would be this big bad sad gap and i'd be wandering around my entire life, looking for something to fill it. but nothing would ever come close. cuz marina is marina, and that's all there is to it. she's the sun sparkling off the ocean, and train tracks and windy roads and tie dye. she's crowds of people and flower sellers, and the colors of red purple orange and yellow and swirling together. she's a grand piano and she's pink tuxedos and yellow tophats. she's everything crazy and cool and spiffy and scrumptious. she reminds me of rollercoasters and flipflops and twirling around so much you get dizzy. she's cinammon horchatas and paper cranes, and the peace that comes from being totally content with who you are. she's the green of traffic lights, and purple flowers. i miss my marina. she is what i try to write. Marina simply kicks ass. however, since that statement is such an obvious one (however true it may be (quite true indeed)) i shall have to go into more detail. marina is sparkly. sometimes a bright sparkle you see from afar, sometimes a quieter kind of sparkle, but beleive me, it's always there. every time I talk with her, Phone or AIM, I'm cheered up, because we get into such delightful talks. our brains work in similar ways, and it's just great to be describing something and have her say "yeah" and know that she totally understands what you're trying to say. i haven't known her that well for too long, but I'm so glad we're growing closer and I'm glad that i have the oppertunity to know her. she is kind, funny, clever, random in the best of ways, sweet, and just plain genuine GREAT. so when i say marina kicks ass, That is what i mean. -Nay Man do I love that smile of hers, and she has such interesting thoughts too! I was glad to talk with her more this year, because she's one of the most companiable people I know. All hail thee lovely maiden. Rawr. Marina is, in my humble but very much correct opinion, cool. And I don't just mean the image kind of cool you can buy in a store (though she is pretty stylin'), no sir. Marina is cool by my absolute favorite definition of cool. She's smart (very smart) and funny (quite funny indeed) and generally conducive to good conversation and/or high quantities of fun (calvin ball!), but moreover, she's got this general knack/way of being that's just so unique and right and excellent that you have no choice but to dig it.
