Poetry Mara Zine

• ahem! i can totally understand people not wanting peticular poems included in the zines. but would you please please pleeease let us use them and just say 'left annonymous by request of the author' or something? because having them all and having them in order just makes it flow so nicely. so please consider it eh? kisskiss, Franny

So I was looking at PoetryMarathon and realized just how incredible it is! We have almost one thousand poems on there!!! In how long? Less than a year? ?Tis very amazing. So I was thinking about how neat it would be to make a zine of sorts with all the poems from one archive (50 poems to an archive) or possible the poems of two archives, to a zine. And get lots of copies made. I know I for one love the idea of having them all in a hold-in-your-hands format. Franny

Ok. Since there's so much confusion, let me just wrap this all up so it's nice and simple. I am doing poetry marazine numero uno. If you want a copy of that, contact me, i will tell you how much money i need, and then i will send you a copy of that ONE archive's zine. we're not compiling these into one huge book, that would take too much coordination, and i don't know about you folks, but i'm up for a little bit of slacking. Now, if there's a zine that you want that no one's put a name up for, I suggest adding your own name to the list. another thing we should do, is right in time for camp next year, to make a zillion copies and bring them with us to exchange. Add your name to the various lists below to give consent or not. In the spirit of contribution, if you don't want your name on the poem, pllllease let us use it anyway, and put it as written by anonymous. So that's the deal. any questions? RoyaBoya

• i have a question. when we're composing our zines should everything remain as is or should we correct spelling and so on? i deffinitly think things like...say...uncapotolized i's and made up words and so on should be left but what about things like...somthing or pritty oyu for you (which i know i do a lot. any suggestions?

• i, too, have a question; what do we do if we don't get permission for something, anonymous or otherwise? do we leave it in there but take out the name (for the non-anonymous ones)? kat
• i would leave it in an put annonymous because you really do need all of them to make it all tie together. if people don't mind posting annonymously on PoetryMarathon would they really mind being put annonymously somewhere else? i don't know....-franny

heres a though how about making an online zine? you wouldnt have the shipping handling or printing cost and everyone could get it and if you wanted a real copy you could just print it off... i havn't heard any noise about it so i though id mention it Heather who is in love with poetry

 All the archives are accessable anyway, so the only advantage I can see to
making a seperate online zine is if you're going to include pictures or
somthing. Otherwise why duplicate? I for one prefer to be able to keep track
of where my writing is posted for the world to see.

Lorin P.S. This is permission to use my poems in the zines. I'll give permission on the individual pages for the archives I think I have poems in, but if I have one hidden elsewhere go ahead and use it.

 Also, what about the poems inspired by ones in the marathon too late to fit
in next in line (you know, like NumberOne or whatever?) they are part of the
marathon to in my opinion, but they would kind of ruin the flow of the
zine...Thoughts?
