[9] "the idea of a name is to tell people who you are, not what you would like to be, or who you think you are, or what you like, that is what conversations are for..." so it other words, if you have a nick name that dose not tell people who you are, or at leat hint to them, then the least you could do is keep it long enough for them to get used to the name being you.
