Our registration
and application form is now available--thanks for your patience!
Please note that for Session 1, we need to make a decision as to
whether to rent/buy a house by July 15. Therefore, if you want to register
please do so as soon as possible. As soon as we have 16 people confirmed,
with a deposit, for Session 1, AND 8 people confirmed with a deposit for
Session 2, we will go ahead and find a house. If we DON'T have that
many people by July 15, we will not open the Dream House in October but
will shoot for January instead.
This also means that if you register for Session 1 of the Dream House,
we may let you know on July 16th that the session is canceled, and that we
won't open until January.
Sorry, our scholarship application is not quite ready yet. Soon!
What happens after you register
Within a week or two you
should hear back from us with the following information: yes we received
your paperwork and money, whether we have any concerns or questions about
your application, and how many other people are registered so far. We will
probably contact you by email unless you request another method.
If
you apply for a $1750 scholarship, we probably won't know for a while
whether we can give it to you, because we want to give numerous people a
chance to apply, and there are only 2 of these large scholarships
available.
If you apply for a $500 worktrade scholarship, we
may be able to give you an answer sooner, but not necessarily when we
first confirm your registration.
We will later send you a
questionnaire and medical history form that helps us understand your
health or dietary needs and other stuff we need to know to help make sure
the dream house works for you. There may be some other paperwork
too, but we'll try to keep it simple.
