  • Pavane for a Dead Pricess, by Ravel. So sad.

~tessa

Just one that I can think of. "Rising in Love" by David Roth. (Not to be confused with David Lee Roth, a different person entirely, and not nearly as talented.) I listened to it with Dawn the last time I saw her, about an hour before she left Seattle. David has a strong, soft voice that always makes me want to melt. Dawn cried as soon as she heard the first verse. I didn't cry then, but I did a week later when I listened to it again. It's sooo beautiful. Mitchell

One night right before I left for camp in 1998 I asked my mother to remind me of all the lyrics and just started bawling hysterically & sobbing about Jackie Paper being an idiot and why did he have to grow up and how could he do that to poor Puff, etc. etc. rather strange) [27]

Songs that made me cry, or my heart swell with such deep emotion, that even crying would not suffice. -Gennie

Wise Up -Aimee Mann, the song is sung by every character in the movie m Magnolia, some people laughed when that scene happened. I couldn't I cried, for I felt the pain of everyone, and their extreme lonliness

Save me -Aimee Mann, I was in a record store listening to this and I could not stop crying, and yet I felt wonderful. I knew I had to have this at that moment.

Through with Love -Chet Baker, his trumpet creates such longing

But Not for Me -Chet Baker, George and Ira Gershwin who wrote the song, make it so poetic, and emotional. With such simple lyrics, it says everything about love.

Music, and the Mirror -Chorus Line{musical} I sung this for a recital, and in rehearsal I would break down crying. The need to perform is explained here, The need to dance. It shows the vunerability in being a performer.

Being Alive -Company{musical} This is another song that exposes the vunerability of being human, and why people don't want to be alone.

In My Life -Beatles, The lyrics...and George Martin on the Piano. The song means so much to so many.

La Boheme -I am talking the whole Opera by Puccini. It makes me cry from start to finish. Two doomed impoverished lovers, who sing until the tragic end.

Rainbow Connection, It's not easy being Green -Kermit the Frog, amazing what a puppet can do to a person. He is so humble.

The Circle Game -Joni Mitchell, It conjurs up many memories......sigh

Black Balloon -Goo Goo Dolls. I know there is more, but that is the only one i can think of at the moment. -Royanne
